Should the Turtles and Splinter mutate in Japan?

Do you think the Turtles and Splinter should mutate in Japan instead, and then migrate (in secret, like hiding inside the cargo hold of a ship), a couple of years later?

If it's just between that or they learned from a book or from watching Jackie Chan movies, then that, probably.

They seem a little too American for that.

If they migrate in early childhood, it shouldn't affect that very much. Especially not since they live outside Human society.

I think it’d be awesome if the Turtles and Splinter mutated in Japan. Just imagining them soaking in the culture and maybe even learning some martial arts before heading to the U.S. adds a cool twist to their story. The idea of them sneaking onto a cargo ship is funny and gives a sense of adventure, like they’re on a secret mission. Plus, it could open the door to some interesting new enemies and allies, and I'd love to see how they adapt to a whole new world before they become the heroes we know.
