Pixel Dan’s The Toys of TMNT Vol 1 1988-1993

This was announced at Toylanta and shown on his latest toy hunt video on YouTube. This will be like his He-Man Toy book he did first if i had to guess.

It’ll be great to see all of the Pop-up mutant displays loose and carded.

I'm really looking forward to the book, but man-- what a lazy and uninspired cover art design.

Really? I like it. But I’m a sucker for a #1 pose lol.

Definitely will be grabbing this!

I really respect getting stuff like this published and I hate to $#!( on it at all, but yeah - for some reason that cover comes off more like a one-off print-on-demand effort than it does a "real book".

But I'm sure it's great and I think it's really cool that Pixel Dan has found a small niche doing stuff like this. There are a few areas of the hobby I'd love to do it myself, but.... just have too much going on to deeply embrace it.

For sure. I LOVE the #1 pose. I can take or leave the photography, but the overall design is lacking pretty hard compared to something like Rad Plastic.

I like Dan's Youtube content, though. Fun guy!

The cover makes me want cheap Chinese food.

I’m guessing it’s a licensing thing right now.

I hope the dates are correct.

:tlol::tlol::tlol:

I wonder if Pixel Dan has the Michelangelo with the beaded nunchaku. Soft head Michelangelo is my favorite soft head figure.

Looking forward to hearing more about this!

mikey0 04-21-2025 02:16 PM

It’s a shame the bootleg lines won’t be in here. Karate Turtles Master (bootleg Giant-Size Splinter) was amazing!

As much I love the cover to this book, it would have cooler if Dan re-did the 1990 movie poster with the soft heads. The movie is what sold the toys in 1990 and early 1991.

I wonder if this book will be sold at Barnes and Noble or B&N.com. I want more people to hear about this.

TheCanadiandrome 05-07-2025 07:47 PM

Anyone know where to sign up for this?

darthsmozers 06-06-2025 04:16 PM

Any new news on this?

TheCanadiandrome 06-07-2025 03:32 PM

seems like it's dead in the water

Pixel Dan officially announced this book on his facebook March 29th

He does say details will be revealed soon. That was 2 months ago so

Chaotix12345 06-16-2025 02:01 PM

Dan dropped a new teaser for the book on Bluesky, revealing a tweaked cover with a more faithful TMNT logo:

Pre-orders are coming VERY soon, so we should know more shortly.

Really interested in picking this up, but I would love to see some sample pages too.

darthsmozers 06-17-2025 09:22 PM

The new cover looks great!
