Turtles have the power again

So, I went on a sunday off island adventure to all the big block stores. I was curious to see what toys I could buy for my self and a little x-mas finish up. First stop Wal-marts. walking around wasn't to bad and not busy at all. As I was checking out all the toys. There were a couple wiped out sections. Can anyone guess what they were....... Gijoes, turtles, and trans. So I bought up a bunch of what was left of the joes. I then went over to a local TrUs and again major wipe of the turles. I also went to the mall and checked out a KB and again not much for turltes. So the hunt goes on for more foots.

I am glad to see another Gen becoming fans of the turtles.

Well enough talk on this thread. Until Boris the Bear hunts the turtles again. Thanks Talk soon

Doesn't this belong in the Toy Dissusion?

Anyway, yeah I too find most of the turtles out of stock, I tell you there is not one Giant Leonardo left on the shelf and yesterday the only figures they had left was a few Caseys, one April and one Foot Solder. (Puts on a riot helmet) Wait till the Mega Bloks are realised, they'll be gone in a flash...

Pher 12-22-2003 06:25 PM

yeah I havent found any turtle other then april for less then eight dollars (places like Hanaford and electronics botique are the only one that have any) for a while many of the pegs are even removed

The toys are pretty much picked over here... a few plain turtles, some foot gunners, and some x-treme sports turtles are all that are left for figures.

as far as vehicles and stuff goes... the giants are sold out everywhere, only mike and raphs weapon sets are left, no sewer playsets anywhere, and no shell cycle or sewer slider. it's crazy.

I ventured into Target yesterday (a very brave move on my part... :) ) and there was not one figure left in the turtle section. It was at the same time frustrating, and heartwarming to see.

I got the same results every store I went to had no TMNt toys but there weapons and there sewer playset. I went thre for a Turtle Van for my X-MES presnet from my gransmother but 3 diff stoes and no TMNT stuff for me!! She said I will get it after X-Mes. Anddid you notic Rangers have not been slling

I think the turtles were a too big success in the 80ies that people could forget about them. I'm sure that there will be more series of them

And you people should be happy, we haven't even heard of the new Turtles Show (well I did, but not many of the other people on the old continent. I bloody hate Europe)

MTN889 12-23-2003 09:23 AM

Yikes, this makes me worry if I'm getting my turtle GCN game! Actually, I'm not THAT worried... it just makes me wonder, thats all. It kinda good to know that people are getting into TMNT, because then it would be a fad again! Yay! Well, looks like though, nobodys gonna get turtle toys this year! :( Well, at least those who dont have them already. And

You've seen a Sewer Playset recently? I haven't seen one of those in a store for literally over a month.

PizzaPower 12-23-2003 09:16 PM

of corse, they are every where here. They don't sell that well becuase they are like 50 and some are 70 dollers here.

Jo Dawn 12-23-2003 10:00 PM

They sold really fast here...

Karpo_007 12-24-2003 03:20 AM

Even the official site posted that the toys are selling very well this holiday season.

It does this old heart good to walk near some TMNT toys and here a kid say "Mommy! Mommy! I want the Ninja Turtle!"

Yah.. this is so... COOL, in a wierd way, to see the Turtles as a big item all over again. I mean, you see some things like The Hulk and Spongebob Squarepants ALL OVER the place, mostly cause they are not selling or something.

But the Turtle stuff, it doesn't get to stay on the shelf long enough to become a bore.

I was delighted yesterday, to find the once bare shelves now filled with the next series of Fighting Gear TMNT at Target. Sweet! :D

you found them today? what state are you in?

 Yep, same here. It is great, but it's also bittersweet, since I'm looking for the new toys and all they had when I went out last time was: at one store: One Mikey and they other sotore: One April. That's it. two stores, two toys. :) But it's OK... I'll find them eventually. I'm just glad they're selling as well as they are.

Aaron 12-31-2003 07:03 AM

I went to a couple stores here and they are also sold out of Turtle figures. Which is good news for the line and bad news for me.
