Charlie Kirk, Turning Point USA founder, dead at 31 after Utah campus shooting

He was shot during a live debate. This comes a few days after he blasted the media for not caring more about the Ukraine girl that was stabbed and killed on a train.

Kirk said gun deaths are necessary for keeping 2nd amendment rights so...

Quote:

Turning Point USA CEO and co-founder Charlie Kirk said of gun deaths on April 5, 2023, "I think it's worth it. I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights."

ToTheNines 09-10-2025 03:57 PM

You libs are making me sick with your 2nd amendment “gotcha”. I’m sure Kirk would still hold the same position, regardless of his fate. It’s essentially no different than saying “it’s unfortunate that accidents will happen and people will die, but I still think people should have the right to own/drive cars”.

A gun is just a tool. It is probably the most effective/efficient way to kill someone, but it’s still just a tool.

This whacko decided he wanted to kill a public figure. He could have poisoned him, ran him over, threw a Molotov cocktail, set off a bomb, shanked him, the list goes on. The method doesn’t really matter, but y’all fall for the bait every single time.

I was actually watching one of his videos this morning while getting ready. His college campus Q&As are always popping up in my Youtube and mileage may vary but some are pretty hard-hitting at times. I feel like there's been a good number of these where he may have actually changed someone's mind or at least made them genuinely go back and reexamine their values.

Of course, I'd roll my eyes and tune out whenever he'd shifts things to religion and God (and he never needed to do that) but he seldom wasn't making incredibly logical arguments beyond that.

Vegita-San 09-10-2025 06:41 PM

he was assassinated. most likely by a liberal leftard.

As a non believer myself, I'd do the same eye rolling. but, I'd rather have christian rise than islamic rise, if anything.

The more I read on the guy, the more I see that nothing of value was lost.

I see nothing has changed.

I honestly don’t understand the rationale behind doing this sort of thing. It’s not the same as eliminating a high value military commander or head of state at a time of war. It only discredits your own movement and creates a martyr.

Unless they believe that they are at war. And that worries me.

Oh, my. How edgy. You must be the coolest kid at school.

I was a bit surprised that most of the major social places where you can upload video to were certainly not appearing to be rushing to take down what happened from the multiple sources posting ?

As for Kirk himself, see attached as to why a significant number of people are not mourning his passing. Live by spouting hate, die by someone evidently objecting. Obviously I went to check (having been in bed) if the suspect had been identified, only to find the second person they arrested has been released too. So we still don’t know their motives or who they are.

Hasn’t stoped all the far right shills spewing vile and hatred towards the left, saying they are evil and wanting war, like they presume the shooter is Democrat. This is Utah, probability is more he is white, Mormon and Republican.

And THAT’S the exact evidence about just who Kirk was, according to someone I know who met and debated him. On camera, menable. Off camera, totally different person.

It's a sad state of affairs how people are gloating that this man has been murdered, or assassinated as it were.

Mayhem 09-11-2025 03:54 AM

School shootings are so normalised now, no one is really commenting how there were another three deaths in Colorado at the same time, just merely frothing over this. Schools are so passe, assassination? That's the headline grabber and talking point!

All the right wing shills are getting so worked up about it because they are worried, worried that this could happen to them in the future because they are being and have been such divisive, hateful arseholes. It's like Luigi 2.0 but with political commentators instead of CEOs.

The issue is, karma, the people shouting the loudest hatred on the right have suddenly gone "hang on, that isn't allowed!" when one of theirs is offed instead of some black, gay or immigrant. Or even the threads to blow up Greta, whom I don't particularly agree with. The problem with the right generaly is, they can dish it out but as soon as someone fights back in some way, they cower. Bullies, the lot of them, and Trump is the uber TACO bully.

Barkworm 09-11-2025 03:58 AM

Jesus, don't go around killing people because they are morons. He was obviously a terrible person but this:

I honestly have no idea who this guy even is, this shooting is the first time I ever heard of him. Goes to show you if you don't heavily involve yourself in politics you have no idea who these people are.

Oh, I see.
I'm Australian. Outside of the internet none of this stuff appears in my day to day life.
It might very well be different for you being an American.
When you're cheering the death of another human being because they are of a different political persuasion to you well... you may not be as good a person as you think.
It's abhorrent, no matter how you slice it.

TheLabRat 09-11-2025 05:32 AM

”Killing people for the sake of belief is inferior to killing people for money. This is because money has a value common to all, but the value of belief is only available to the person concerned.”

While this is true in general, I'd like to nitpick on the term 'political persuasion'. Certain ideas go beyond a mere political opinion when they are hurtful ideology and some of Kirk's greatest hits are nothing but racist rubbish.

Guess Ben Shapiro should watch is back now. He is another scummy maga podcast bro like kirk was
