20 years since Fast Forward
 

Tomorrow, July 29 will be 20 years since Fast Forward first aired. That said it’s hard to believe we’re already a fifth of the way to 2105 (technically 2106).

Are you planning to watch Fast Forward for the 20th anniversary?

I've watched some episodes not too long ago... It's not a good season, maybe it has some decent ideas and characters but the plots themselves... No, not good.

I think most of the plots are quite good. It’s just a lot of the characterizations, dialogue and abuse of catch phrases could get old at times.

FF is fun and never really got a fair shake. People were rightfully angry that season 5 got canned in favor of this, then Playmates jumped ship on the gimmick about as fast as they could.

Yeah, out of all 26 episodes, there's only really 4 bad episodes at the most, mostly all the Triple Threat episodes.

If it had the same animation as previous seasons, and maybe dropped the catch phrase "It's ninja time," it'd be viewed as nearly as good. The villains were by far the highlight of it.

Also Cody wasn't the Mary sue you'd expect his character to be, and the writers kept him out of fights a lot which I appreciate for the usual kid sidekick character in a cartoon. And Serling was genuinely funny at times.

I enjoyed ff when I watched it

It took 1 year and 3 months to air those 26 episodes.

I don't see the significance of that.

Both the Fast Forward and Back to the Sewer seasons weren't bad, but I found them to be lacking something that made the first five seasons so entertaining. Those final two seasons were just kind of bland.
