How old is April in Mirage?

Long story short, the Palladium stuff says she’s 27 at the beginning of Mirage, which would give her a 1958 birth year and make her ~44 in volume 4.

However, Vol. 4 suggests she wasn’t born until 1963. This means she would only be 22 in her first appearance and 39 in Vol. 4.

FWIW apparently Casey is only 21 in his first appearance.

April's age seems fine but I never bought Casey being that young. Barely 21 and he's been a bouncer at a bunch of clubs already? No way.

Yeah I have no dates or ages to go off of for Casey other than his Palladium bio. Which isn’t necessarily canon, but it’s something.

Old enough to buy beer but not so old that it bothers her to give it to teenage turtles.

This one feels right to me. If she were mid-40s in Volume 4, I feel like her and Casey not being able to conceive a child wouldn't be as big as a deal as it is. Having her in her late 30s makes the questioning of it and looking for answers seem more likely.

lol that is a very valid point. Never thought of it like that. Maybe in Canada since the bar age is 19 haha, but seems far fetched for sure

April being older than Casey kinda feels weird to me. That would imply Casey is into older women. It doesn't work that way in real life.

I dunno, I could definitely see Mirage Casey Jones as a man with severe mommy issues.

When you go around in a hockey mask beating people up, there is definitely some issues at home lol

IDW gave him daddy issues with Hun. So would make sense for Mirage to give him mommy issues lol

I also think 21 feels too young for a Casey, not necessarily related to April’s age though.

TMNTpedia says Mirage Casey was born in 1958 (which would make him about 27 in Raphael #1). Does anyone have any evidence to back that up? There’s no citation.

Good point, I agree.

I don’t think there is anything that specifically says his age. I could be wrong, but 100 percent in the one shot with Raph it doesn’t, maybe along the lines in volume 4 or something he talks about his age, can’t say I ever read that far though

And 21 in New York with his own apartment? Also, no way.

CyberCubed 09-09-2026 05:18 AM

I mean in the 80's, that was possible. Back then people moved out at 18 and found apartments no matter what job they had. Rents were as cheap as only $400 a month back then.

lol that is also valid. Unless he is one of those apartment squatters. Moved in, and just won’t move out. Lmao
