Batman vs. Shredder

Jester 10-11-2026 10:38 PM

"The show that takes 2 super powered legends..."

But....neither Batman and Shredder are super powered. They're basically just highly trained ninjas.

Wait...is that Doug Jones as Alfred?

I guess I have to eat my words. Super Shredder is by definition super powered.

Kind of weird they went to such lengths to replicate the Shredder from 1990 and SuperShredder from 1991 but they went full Fred Wolf with April O'Neil. It isn't even the right news channel.

I literally just posted this in the YouTube TMNT section. Dude who was Keaton Batman was great.

Shout out to AEW pro wrestler JohnnyTV aka John Hennigan as Casey

I mean it’s fine. You can definitely feel the limitation of the stage set. Especially with the video store stage

Eric Sachs?

Fenryr 10-12-2026 09:58 AM

So if you limit him to familiar characters, a script under six minutes with dialogue pulled almost exclusively from 40-year-old movies, and goose the production with a veteran character actor, Schoenke can almost make something worth watching. After Legend of the White Dragon, I wasn't sure he could even spell camera, let alone use one.

Overall, I was impressed with it, but I did find it strange in some areas. They definitely went full Fred Wolf for April. I thought the fight was good overall, and glad to see superpower beat down back.

Have they done a ninja Turtles one yet? They really should do Leonardo or Raph versus a Power Ranger or something like that at some point

These little combat films are always just crossover fan-service. They are fun. Not life changing mini-cinema.

I hate white shredder!

Oh ****!!! I didn’t know recognize that. That’s my fave power rangers season. He pulled off Batman perfectly (in my opinion)

The Batman suit had a really knowledgable Batfan and historian behind the work. The Shredder suit isn't bad, but obviously didn't have that fan/historian angle.

Outside of documentaries, I hate fan films. Birds-eye perspective, the amount of effort technicians and artists put into fan films would be better served with an original work. I get wanting to play in the sandbox of your favs, but it's really a road to nowhere.

I agree, but sadly I still wouldn’t mind seeing a ninja turtle one. Maybe a last Ronin Michelangelo vs…. I dunno….
Scorpion or some mortal kombat character

Yeah, that inconsistency really stands out in an otherwise lore-accurate fan project.

I think that was personal preference of the actress, who really wanted to do the classic cartoon April look, and especially since she can show off some extra... uh... candid photos on her social media accounts now that the film has been released.
