RIP Eric Bauza
This just popped up on Instagram, was hoping it was a hoax, but it looks like it may very well be true. Legendary modern-day voice actor Eric Bauza has passed at 46, the modern day voice for Looney Tunes, Woody Woodpecker, TMNT, and multitudes of other franchises. No details yet, but it sure was sudden. I'm glad I got the chance to chat a couple questions to him on Talkin' Toons a few years back when he did that with Rob Paulsen and Rob's son Ash. Rest peacefully, Eric Bauza.

What a gut punch
|
R.I.P. He will always be remembered for me as the voice of Tiger Claw.
|
No freakin' way! This is terrible. I will always remember him for being the voice of Tiger Claw who's one of my favorite "newer" TMNT characters since 2012. And I just "saw" him as so many characters in Coyote vs. Acme at the theatre a few months ago. This is truly sad news to hear. I was absolutely looking forward to many years of him voicing tons of characters in the future, and now it's been cut way too short. I will miss Eric Bauza the most for voicing Tiger Claw.
|
Jeez, barely past the half way mark of his 40s.
His performances in Coyote vs Acme were some of his career best. The Daffy and Bugs cameos in them hit different now. And this has got to be the highest profile TMNT loss in a while. RIP. |
Always sad to see someone pass away before 50, talented guy.
|
Damn man, that sucks. I just rewatched the Rise movie this week. He was always super passionate about his work and seemed to be having a ton of fun doing it. He will be missed.
|
Oh man how sad. I knew he voiced Looney Tunes but was not aware of so many others.
|
Oh damn, that's shocking, RIP Eric Bauza
Tiger Claw was a great villain. |
Very sad. Supposed it was hypertensive cardiovascular disease.

Technodrome Forum Death thread! This time x's two!!

I didn't know he was the modern voice of Bugs, I think that's a bigger credit than what I knew him off. I still remember how excited he seemed at the Rise of the TMNT reveal. RIP

I was shocked and saddened to hear this news. Eric was an incredibly talented man. He was way too young to die like that. R.I.P.

We had just watched Coyote VS. Acme & felt so invigorated by what fun it was, in part due to Eric's fantastic work, damn. What a light he was. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but he was a long-time favorite VA of mine. Incredible range. Truly carried the torch for Mel Blanc's legacy while cementing one all his own, to say the least of his Looney Tunes work. I think I first became aware of him through TMNT, but I realized over time how integral he was to a variety of properties. Seemed like a nice guy, to boot. Much too young, such a shame.
