TMNT: Shredder #13 preview/discussion

https://comiclist.info/2026/10/28/te...-shredder.html

Out today. Pretty boring. Was this a new colorist? Didn't really jive with Kotian's style, unfortunately.

This issue felt short.
So this arc is about Shredder winning the EPF's loyalty huh ?
It might be his hardest challenge lol.
That Noah Sheck dude got one hell of a glow up by the way

Shredder's EPF armor looks like it was designed for a Playmates Toy figure.

I don't even remember who the John Constantine character is. When was the last time Ravenwood appeared before this? Nice to see her back and I guess issue 14 will be her proper reintroduction.

The issue as a whole was alright, they're still keeping Shredder separate from the main ongoing by not having him interact with the Turtles/Karai. I guess that will be saved for the next main ongoing arc after the chinese writer departs.

It clicked with me that the captured Skyknige has the gold plating that all the Triceraton crafts in the 2003 show had. Not sure if there is an exact match to any crafts from that show but it is a similar aesthetic overall.

He is Rise character. I guess they will continue to introduce some minor character as nostalgia bait.

Suddenly, EPF became BPRD because they are now have a mage as their agent, even though there was absolutely no hint in any previous story that the EPF also had a supernatural expert.

TMNT Tuesday #80: Exclusive preview and Dan Watters answers your Shredder questions

I feel that the writer is just beating around the bush when answer some questions.

It is often the case, writers won't spoil their stories and won't answer questions that would make them look life fools if they contradict the editor's decisions

Seeing Shredder ruling over the EPF actually is cool. I'm curious what the direction is they are going with this.

If people didn't read the comics or were behind, the concept itself seems fun - Shredder becomes good and is using the Earth's defenses as a way to improve the turtles and possibly Karai. It's just that i find the time getting there took too long.

When was his Senate confirmation hearing?

shredder orokusaki 10-29-2026 12:36 PM

You see how brutally i kill the turtles. Evrything goes according to my plan. Iwill save New York from the zombies and then i will conquer it with my foot ninjas army! Just like i did in 2003 where the mayor and evryone of the leaders and politiciansof new york was realy one of my foot nijnjas.

Clearly, Dan Watters and Matthew Rosenberg most want Shredder to turn back into the villain and kick the turtles' ass. It just depends on when IDW decides to hype up IDW Shredder being a villain again.

Still kinda dumb and every little thing takes two or three times longer than it should, but Saki as Nick Fury makes sense as a direction. Karai's been flailing since the mutagen bomb.
