Venting Thread

I felt it was time to create this thread. Six years ago, the first week of November proved to be one of the lowest points in my life. This week, which coincidentally is also November 1-7, I feel that way all over again. The world has lost common sense, including my home state of Texas, and I feel like I'm at the bottom of a very deep hole that I spent 4 years digging myself out of. Do you all remember an episode of Mister Rogers Neighborhood where Prince Tuesday thought his parents might get a divorce and he wished he could be like a machine that way he couldn't feel anything. That is exactly how I'm feeling now. Also, did any of you read the children's book Sylvester and the Magic Pebble where the title character changed into a rock by accident and his parents tried to get on with their usual ways when they couldn't find him, but they couldn't because their usual ways involved him? Well, that is what happening to me as well. I have spent years doing certain things in my life and now I can't move forward with them. We are now in end times more than ever before. Life sucks in the biggest ways imaginable.

What exactly is the issue you find yourself in? Financial issues? You're being very vague. If this is about politics you could have just posted on the politics thread.

Fortunately for Ken Paxton, today is far from his lowest point in life

It's not just politics. There's too many changes happening at once not just in the country, but it's happening in my personal life, too. I have to adjust to them all at once. I feel like I'm experiencing a midlife crisis.

I can't remember any of the plots from any episodes of that show. I hope things get better for you. I would suggest having a dance with Mary Jane if you catch my drift. Maybe even have a beer or two.

I don't drink. Today when I was also doing my job I did it because I had to not because I wanted to. Throughout the day, there were three words that popped into my head quite a bit and they were, "I don't care."

Personally, I think viewing the world through an Anti-Communist conspiracy lens is not good for you, even if you have other good beliefs.

I've been there before. The conspiracy just makes you depressed since you see "'cultural marxism" everywhere and it's not even true.

I'm happy to talk through DMs. You seem like quite a nice guy.

It's okay to disagree with Democrats, I do as I am socially conservative due to my faith, but I think the "communist-sharia" takeover thing is taking it too far.

I wouldn't get too worked up about the left taking over America. Nothing will change and young voters are going to realize it and will become disillusioned pretty quickly with the idea everyone still has to be grown ups at the end of the day.
