Which series is funnier?
 

Was the older one funnier than the new one or vice versa. I'd like your opinions. I'd also like to know if anyone already posted this.

New one is funnier.

Depends what you define as funny heh - in the old there was something about the way the characters sometimes cudn't care less about their situation - or over-cared - but the new is... better funny.

I prefer the humour of the new show.

Well the old show had a few funny stuff, like Shredder thinking he's Michelangelo, but half the time it got a little too stupid/childish. I kinda prefere the humour in 2003.

Yeah, i like the humour in the new the best, Sentences like, ''Nice Hats'' and stuff hehe

Yeah, the new toon characters are just great to bring out the humor, it's just the new design makes the jokes and things work.

I like the fact the show can be very funny and very serious.

yeah, exactly. it's those little things which makes it funny. Like when Donny knocks Mikey in the head with his Bo hehe. Things like that hehe

The new show is genuinely funny when it wants to be, while the old show at times would just make me laugh. I think there's a difference.

The old show was mostly slapstick humor and puns.

The new show contains situational humor and fanboy humor.

IMHO the New Show's humor is far more intelligent and genuinely funny than the old show.

Some of my favorite lines,

Casey: I wanna complain about one of your products!
Reception: TCRI doesn't manufacture toasters, sir.
Casey: Oh yeah? Says it right here!
Reception: That says 'RITC' in crayon, sir.
Casey: I wanna see the head geek, or I'm gonna take this place apart! (Draws his bat and starts smashing up the lobby) Gimme a toaster, or give me death!

Raph: We kinda met your forcefeild.
Mike: And Raph kinda broke it.

Mike: That thinglooks like a giant toliet! Which I guess makes me the tidey bowl turtle...

Hun: This is some nice steel, hows about telling me who gave them to you?
Raph: Yo Moma.

Mike: Did Shredder wake up one morning and say, HEY HERE'S AN IDEA: MUTANT CLONES OF ME, REALLY UGLY ONES!

Raph: What is that? The ninjustice league?
Don: More like the Shelltastic Four.
Leo: The sewer heros.
All: (Laugh)

Leo: Whoa! Sensei keep that flame away from Mikey! He ate a whole chilli pizza for dinner!

Mike: C'mon Leo, move it, I don't wanna be staring at your butt anylonger than I have to!

Raph: Teacher's pet.
Leo: Ninja drop-out.
Raph: GRRR!
Leo: GRRR!

Splinter: Let us see you clean up for a change, this chamber is filthy!

Splinter: I believe you.
Leo: Is this another lesson, how you sence the truth, senisei?
Splinter: No, this is called 'trusting your gutt'

Me personally would pay to say a line like this,

Hun: Your choice, freek; you can talk or you can let your DNA do the talking for you!

I also think The Next Mutation had some funny lines,

I like the humour in the new show better.

Casey: Friends of yours?
Raph: Brothers, actually.
Casey: ...I can see the family resemblence.
Mikey: I'm the pretty one!

The way how the show has a darker look to brings out how funny the jokes are. With mikey sauin' "I'm the pretty one!" an' all when they're all dark makes it hillarious. :tlol:

one more thing which is cool, is how they are so up to date, Like real humans. Forexample: Mikey has a DVD collection and is trying to qoute sentences from all kinds of movies and stuff. Not always funny sentences, Like this.

Mikey: There are somethings, man was never meant to tamper with.

Leo: Your reign of terror is over Stockman

Things like that, Is VERY cool. If ya know what I mean :-?

I like the new show and the old show the same in funny juink.

Old show humor, I always love watching Shredder and Krang insulting each other.

Krang: "Hmm, for once you might actually carry out a task successfully."
Shredder: "Why thank you Krang."
Krang: "Yeah, and I might begin to like Brocoli!"

I just think the new show is great. I lkes it better.

They both have very different types of humor. The old series went for slapstick and such, and they did it well. And I still find a lot of the bits funny.

The new show has a more subtle "real" humor. Like the kind of stuff that gets flung around my house. I personally like this type of humor better. With the show's more serious tone, you get an unexpected laugh, and it's a nice relief.

I don't get why people don't like broccoli. It's great!

I hate vegetables in general, the idea with this quote is that most kids think brocoli is one of the nastiest foods.
