Yet ANOTHER Fighting Gear Variation...
YO! Correct me if I'm wrong but arent the original Fighting Gear TMNT Figs where there is not words "fighting gear" above the TMNT logo? Right? Those are the ones I have but I cannot check because I'm at achool and not at home....
If that is the case, we all know that Playmates put red letters with a gray background above the logo saying "fighting gear." Not only did I see those at me local Walmart but now I also see variations with yellow letters and a green background that say "fighting gear." I didn't see alot of them, however. Let me know what you dudes think.... -Errol |
do not know
Never seen anything like that in my wal-mart. that pretty weird :o got any pics of this.
|
Unfortunetly I don't. Just imagine the new variations with the red writing and gray background and switch it to yellow writing with a green background. Everything else is the same.

I've seen the red with grey background, could you post a pic of the yellow lettering.
|
Playmates is making it very difficult to keep up with everything. So many variations... :dead:
I have yet to see these so if anyone has a photo it would help. :) |
Maybe I should purchase them. Take a look at your local stores some of you. Let me know if you see anything. Maybe these are rare, I know what I saw!

odd
I havn't seen these yet I'll check tommrow when I go out for comics and toys ^_^ and I wish playmates would knock it off there making it extreamly hard for us to collect everything....with there trying to change the boxes all the damn time shesh! -Vaughn Michael |
They are most definitely not rare. I saw a complete wall full of these. It's just another wave to go with the new vehicles perhaps.
I have a question though. If these toys are ever worth anything, the variations will affect it right? Like the first ones would be worth more? |

I also saw a fighting gear logo with a blue backround at wal mart. Anyone else see this?
|
Does anyone know if these variations are for each specific turtle, like a blue background for leo, or just random.
|
this isn't a fighting gear variation but my friend and I were at target today and he was like "hey, do you have a mutating leo yet?" and I looked up and it was a don figure. So I just said "that's donnie, not leo." His response was "it says leo on the card"
Has anyone else seen errors like this? I would have bought it but I wanted more elite foots. |
yeah I picked up a foot soldier that had splinters pic on the front circle.
Some people collect errors, maybe its worth picking up if you keep it on the card. |
I saw a few figures with the yellow and green Fightin' Gear logos tonight at Wal-Mart. The new vehicles seem to be getting out more too, I saw the Turtle Tracker, Shell Sub and Pogo Copter at both Wal-Marts here, and the Turtle Tracker was also at TRU.
I think new cases of the figures are shipping with Splinter, Shredder, Casey Jones, and the Nanotech Monster back in the mix, because I saw all of those at just about every store tonight(it was the first time I've seen Shredder or Splinter since at least last summer). |

what color writing came with the blue background???
also, anyone know if these variations apply to Armorized Shredder, Foot Gunner and Elite Foot Guard? |
I have the elite guard with a gray backround...I haven't seen it with anything else. Actually, I've only seen one in my life.
I think the blue backround was the first kind, because I saw them along with the shredder and foot gunner, and they didn't have the logo on it, so i bet when they changed the colors, they put a logo on with the shredder, elite foot, and gunner figures. |

I went to Walmart tonight to take a look and see if anything new was out....what I came across was your blue background fighting gears with the yellow letters ... and the now absent of any logo shredder, elite Guard, & The Foot Gunner now with a video game konami sticker on the front of the box...so be on the look out for that foot gunner they've changed him again. This really is becoming way to much even for us hard core collectors lol. -Vaughn Michael |
Variation
What you people call Variations is not a variation its to help people find the toy a little bit better. A variation is were a toy has a mistake on the paint job or the wrong picture. So next time please make sure you know what you are talking about.Thanks. :tcouch:
