Spammer's Identity!
 

I found out the identity of the person who spammed our forums. It's Paul's friend, Fenix. Here's how I found out:

• The spammer criticized my graphic design on my site. There are several boards for graphic design at the forums that Fenix is an administrator at.
• The spammer said that phpBB "sucks," and that YaBB SE was better. Paul's old host, Geeks Online (which Fenix is affiliated with), is running YaBB SE.
• The spammer claimed that I don't know much about PHP (even though I know alot about it, probably more than him). At those forums I linked to above, Fenix claims to be a "PHP Master."
• The spammer accused me of having a store-bought PC (which I don't), and was showing off about his dual Athlon XP. Here's Fenix's signature at those forums:

• The spammer used two IPs, one for each name. Fenix mentions that he has several PCs networked in a post at those forums.

And here's the one that absolutely proves it:

• The spammer used the IP address 12.248.103.4 when he posted as "HAHAHA," and 12.248.196.156 when he posted as "Ipwnzj00." Here's what I found when I did a lookup of cyphersshack.com at Samspade:

Just wanted to let everyone know who spammed the forums, and that Paul was probably behind it, since I doubt Fenix would know about my forums without Paul telling him. Sorry for making this an announcement, but I wanted to make sure Azure sees it when he gets back from vacation.

That is really lame... How can he be an adminstrator somewhere... Or is it he's own board?

Paul behind all this? o_O well i never thought he'd do something like that...hmmm...i'm speechless :oops:

wow, nice detective work krang, damn spammers, is Fenix the same guy paul tried to make wheeljack with? I can't belive anyone would want to spam this place, but maybe it was Fenix's revenge on Paul if it is the same guy from wheeljack oh well I could frankly care less as long as there is no more spam :dead:

Yeah, fenix gave him the hosting space and stuff, i think.
I don't know why anyone would want to spam the technodrome :-? but i don't care anymore...the spam is gone and that's all it matters...SPAM, SO GOOD ITS GONE :thyper:

yeah, kevin might have done it, but i wasn't behind it, I'll talk to him about it. i did tell him about the board, because i said i wanted my forums something like this, so if that's so bad, sue me i don't care. I'll be back in a while, because i'm more into he-man right now, I MADE A CUSTOM NINJOR, be sure to check it out, it's really cool. Internet was supposed to be the ultimate power for freelancers, idealests and information to be spread where every one helps each other. But spamers, pop-up ads and big corperations have ruined that :(

wow, great detective work! i bet that was hard to type my IP address into IE. How can i be an admin? hmmm... well, maybe its because i know what i'm doing unlike Krang here. Ok, so you know all about classes and object oriented programing in PHP? has anyone ever paid you to make a PHP script? no, if you knew more about PHP, you might think about using it on your website, instead of plain HTML. yep, you know more about PHP, since you don't even use it. ok, so you didnt buy it in a store, where then? the DELL website? i am a PHP master j00 f00. And really, why would paul tell me to spam these forums, i decided to after looking at them and falling off my chair laughing at how much they suck. And if i felt like figuring out what your IP address was, i would look at the apache logs, but i don't really care. and guess what, i have a dynamic IP, if you know what that is. Oh and nickokapo, you think your cool because you say l33t? well you play with toys, and have every single TMNT ep, you loser. why would anyone want to spam this forum? maybe because its extremely stupid, a forum about toys, not just toys, but old toys that are stupid. HorseTechie, you can get to it just fine, maybe your just to stupid to spell it right. notice how it says "cyphersshack.com" idiots. yea, krang is an old bean, and he knows jack about computers too. well, i'm out,i expect this post to be deleted, but thats ok, i don't realy give a **** anymore.
