classic Episode Discussion: Turtle Tracks Mini series
 

Hey....just a quick question
What did u think of the old toon's first 5 eps...or Turtle tracks...liked it, loved it, wished shredder had de-mutated the whole lot of them??

These are the best episodes of the old cartoon in my opinion. They are the classics, and they started it all.

The first 5 episodes were the greatest, mostly because there was one main story line throughout the whole season.

Infortunately, this idea of episodes linked which each other disappeared after the 2nd season (except for the Big Blow Out trilogy), and only came back in season 8, but without Shredder and Krang, or scarcely.

I wish i'd watched the last few seasons...i caught an ep or too but never knew when it was on...season 8 had shredder right?? 9 and 10 had dreg and shredder crept back in near the end...right...man i missed ole tingrin...dreg sucked

Dregg was ok, at least it was a recurrent villain and not a stupid potatoe-like alien or mad scientist. But his biggest flaw is that he's replacing Shredder and Krang...

true....u gotta love tin skin and the disembodied brain....but who was the more dasterdly villians...dreg or shredder and krang??

I think Shredder and Krang are, but Dregg is more cruel.. Hard to explain

He means Dregg was a little more extreme (he abosorbed all the Turtles' skills and abilities into his brain along with Shredder and Krang, turned the world against the TMNT by posing as a freindly alien etc)

The first five episodes are the best (Expect the neutrinos were just too weird), the later episodes got a little too childish for me.

That's the point. Moreover, Dregg was the kind of villain you want to see losing at the end.. and indeed he payed for what he had done, even if his death was only assumed.

On the other hand, Shredder and Krang were not fearsome as Dregg was, but they had more or less the same goal. Nevertheless, their continual quarrels and their witty quotes made them engaging, and I was often sore when a Turtle wrecked their beautiful schemes by throwing their weapons inside a main computer.

:lol: there were times i honestly wanted krang and shredder to win...but the turtles lucked out....oh well u can't please all the people all the time

I liked the first 5 episodes. They were different from the rest of the series and had a different style/feel to them.

the mini-series was good. The last few seasons were not too childish however, in season 4, the episodes were getting childish.
