The company's title

Which do you prefere? Techno Cosmic Reserch Insitute (TCRI) or Techno Global Reserch Insitute (TGRI). I prefere TCRI, but what ever you call it it's still a Utrom front.

Then what does it matter what we call it? And does this really warrant it's own thread? It's one letter, and it makes verry little difference to anything.

It's official, we've ran out of things to use in polls...

jeff the cheff 03-08-2004 08:02 PM

I'm used to TGRI, and I think it looks and sounds better.

J Legault 03-08-2004 08:32 PM

I vote TCRI. Original for the comics and new cartoon.
Just Cosmic seems like a nicer touch than Global.

Jarrah White 03-08-2004 08:56 PM

And cosmic sounds more widespread than global.

This has been another pointless variation of Mirage vs Archie/Toon Poll brought to you by JW! Thanks for watching!

I endorse this public service.

It was changed to Global because they weren't the utroms in the 2nd movie. And cosmic would make it sound that way.

Aaron 03-11-2004 02:41 PM

I voted for TGRI.

Actually, there was one scene in the second film that was either deleted or never filmed. Dr. Perry having retrieved the last TGRI canister goes inside a locker and closes the door behind him. Inside, he opens up his shirt and hands the canister to a Utrom sitting in his stomach.

cqb101 03-11-2004 03:16 PM

TCRI......It's the original.

Mondo J. Gecko 03-11-2004 03:24 PM

TCRI... cause its cosmic.... whoa...

creativerealms82 03-11-2004 04:21 PM

I heard of that Utrom scene but I have my doubts about it. It just seems that the movie would be very differnt if Dr. Perry was an Utrom. Perhaps that was originally planned but thown out early on. They wanted to make the movie and the turtles story line easier to understand for the movies so the Utrom plot was removed. Well that is just how I feel about that anyway.

Jarrah White 03-11-2004 04:26 PM

The children problably would have assumed incorrectly that the Utrom in Perry'r belly was Krang.

creativerealms82 03-13-2004 12:00 PM

I believe that. When the Utroms first showed up in the new show topics at other sites about mini Krangs popped out everywhere.

I know, and if it was included it probably would've been TCRI.

Jarrah White 03-13-2004 06:34 PM

I've heard it was change because there was a real life company called TCRI, or so I read.

impetus 03-13-2004 07:12 PM

Really, that's interesting. I wonder if it's true and maybe it just happens to be run by an alien race known as the Utroms. Just kidding :P
