I liked Vernon's vboice in the first few eps, but then he started to sound a tad whiny... *shrugs*

In the first season, Vernon was actually a reasonable person (trying to convince April that staking out a Foot Clan robbery was a dangerous idea, for example). I don't know why the writers decided that they had to make him April's whiny, jealous, cowardly, backstabbing rival in later seasons.

Because after first season the show turned from adventure to comedy...

Because he is suppose to be Channel 6's ace reporter, not that April O'Neil lady :evilgrin: The writers were just trying to fix their mistake

But nooooooo those Turtles always come in, giving April the "scoop", and being top-reporter! What's up with that! If that April wasnt around the Channel 6 gang would hardly ever get into any trouble and Vernon would rule them all!

Well then, to each her/his own. I agree, though... Early in the series, Vernon was reasonable and he didn't seem whiny at all. I guess they decided to change his character.

May I remind you that Vernon taped a confrontation between the Turtles, Leatherhead and the Rat King with the lens cap on and taped a documentary of Dimension X with the camera pointed the wrong way?

At least when April blew a story it was because somebody destroyed her videocamera...

Also, I wonder if they can get David Wise (aka The Guy Who Singlehandedly Took The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles From Comic Book Obscurity To Superstardom) to write some of the new scripts?

In the Leatherhead vs. the Ratking episode, Vernon actually swiped April's camera.

And in the Dimension X episode, April and Vernon had their own cameras and were separated for much of the journey.

Muahahahahaha...

i just think vernon needs to get laid, then he wouldn't be so uptight. dude needs a massage, or something. (hint, hint, cherubae!)

1 - See, it's still April's fault the lenscap was on the camera. She had a psycological mind link to her camera and she telepathically put the lens cap back on.

IIRC, when Vernon was filming the Rat King and Leatherhead running back to the RK's lair, he *didn't* have the lens cap on. I'll have to double check my tape (just watched it the other day) and get a screen pic to prove that April's out to ruin his reporting career.

2 - Vernon was taking the initiative to find a good news story while April just whined along with the Neutrinos. The Di-X atmosphere must of done something to his news footage and reversed it :evilgrin: Vernon can do no wrong!

No I can't screw Vernon, the "King of FOGU" would get quite upset with me :goofygri:

Vernon was pretty reasonable in the first season but I like to think something major happened to him that changed him. I think all the major havoc shredder was causing in season one and April talking about turltes and such started to spook him. I think that there is a part the writers didn't show where he was emotionally tortured by shredder or someone working for shredder and it scared him so much that he became a whiny coward permanently.

I thought Vernon was one of the more interesting characters of the show. Whenever the writers needed comedy relief, they could always depend on him.

Another funny Vernon moment came in "Donatello's Degree." Vernon gets scared out of his wits by some fish, April has to get him out of the lake, and he gets propelled back into the news van. April asks him if there is anything she can do for him, and he replies, "I think I may need mouth-to-mouth resuscitation."

(Oh, he's a sly one, that Vernon. :wink: )

Anyway, April goes, "Whatever you say, Vernon" and she gets this really ugly fish and plants its lips onto Vernon's. The look on Vernon's face when he think April is really kissing him is priceless. Then he realizes it's the fish and goes bananas. :lol:

Anyone hear Vernon's voice in Michelangelo meets bugman again? It's the only time vernon has an alternative and man does he sound terrible. And about the whole thing about Vernon screwing up with the camera all the time... doesn't suprise me. He let's his ego do all the work and forgets to do it properly :lol:

I ADMIT IT!!! :tcry: I HATED VERNON!!! argh... this stinks! i really hated him because he really sounded like he belonged to a certain group. i will say no names, but they are in major conflict with eminem.
