First TMNT Coin-Op
I just got done playing the first TMNT coin-op on an emulator and if any of you have it, you should try this:
Set all fours Turtles' controls to the same buttons, stock up on around 50 credits or more, and then group them together to all share the same space. Its like a green tornado of Ninja Weapons tearing through the stages! Its really fun. Except for the bosses, you feel somewhat incivincible becasue nearly all enemies approach you and get immeditately torn up. |
  thats great
|
I decided to do this and actually keep score and make it sound as if a sportscaster was narrating each part between stages. Here's the result. I hope it gives you guys some laughs:
First Quarter April's Apartment Michelangelo got the skull-cracking blow on Rocksteady. Leo has second with 26 kills. Mike has the low score of 21 kills. Don has the third 24 kills. Raph has the lead with 28 kills. Looks like so far this is a rivalry between Leonardo and Raphael folks. But the Shredder has abducted April! Time to take to the streets and chase down the Shredder! The Streets of New York City Mike dealt the final blow to Bebop. Leo: Tied for Second at 50 kills. Mike: In First with 54 kills. Don: Tied for Second at 50 kills. Raph: falls into Third with 48 kills. Time to head to the sewer! Michelangelo came out of dead last and took the lead and took down Bebop! Will Michelangelo hold the lead? Who will come out on top between Leo and Don? Will Raph catch up and show off his raw energy he is known for? Second Quarter The Sewers of New York City The annoyance of Baxter as finally ended in this battle against Foots and Mousers. Leo has tied Raph once again in a rivalry at 75 kills. Mikey still holds the lead with has 93 kills. Don takes second with 84 kills. Raph 75 kills. What's this? Rocksteady and Bebop are back and Rocksteady is issuing a challenge to the Turtles to try to rescue April! We're coming down the Ground Zero just before Half Time! Whoever has the highest score at Hlaf Time gets the well-deserved smooch from a very thankful reporter! The Parking Garage Bebop and Rocksteady, taken on both at once, finally gone thanks to Raphael! Though he made a comeback and has the Shell Game Play of the Day for dealing the final blow to both of Shredder's goons, Mikey gets the kiss at Half Time. Leo: the lowest score of 91 kills. Mike: a whopping 108 kills! Don: an even 100 kills for third place. Raph: barely losing to Don with 99 kills. Third Quarter The Highway on Foot No boss this time around but stage 5 was full of action! Leo has the low score of 121 kills. Mike still holds the high score of 142! Don still holds second with 134 kills. Raph still barely behind Don with 131 kills. Time for some skateboard action! The Highway on Skateboards The Turtle Van has arrived to pick up our skateboarding heroes after a daring shred down the highway! Leo holds the fort down with the low score of 127 kills. Mike keeps it real with his high score of 148 kills! Don loses second to Raph just barely with 138 kills. Raph picks second back up in time for the Final Quarter with 140 kills! Who the Shell is driving? Nobody! Oh no! Brace yourself! And after that crash-landing into the factory, what's this? SPLINTER'S BEEN KIDNAPPED! Fouth Quarter The Foot Factory Oh! What an explosion! Raph gets the final blow in this factory battle for Splinter! Leo's at 144 kills in dead last. Mikey still hold the lead with 180 kills! Don holds a score of 156 kills for third place. Raph shows why he holds second with his 164 kills. Splinter is saved! Now its time for some triple-boss glory in the Technodrome! The Technodrome: Part 1 General Tragg, the General of the Stone Soldiers and gat guard to the Main Control Room, has been stomped down to gravel in this mighty battle in the Technodrome. Leo still holds the low score of 168 kills. Mike keeps the lead at 199 kills. Don is still in third with 178 kills. Raph still holds his own in second with 187 kills. Shredder and Krang are beyond the door that has just become unlocked. What challenges face our home team next on this away field? The Technodrome: Part 2 The once-thought-invincible Krang has been defeated by none other than Donatello! No, just his robot body! He lives! He proclaims invincibility and gets away!!!! As we can see, Mike is clearly the winner here with one enemy to go. Leo ends dead last with 168 kills. Mike wins with the lead with 199 kills. Don ends with third with 179 kills. Raph wins second with 187 kills. Only the Shredder himself remains in a one-on-four Ninja battle. The only suspense left is to see who will win in this awesome Ninja battle. Wait.. Shredder..... He's cloning himself! There must be six or even eight of him at once! The game is not over, folks!!!!! The Shredder has pulled a trick out of his sleeve that could possibly change the outcome!!!! The Technodrome: Part 3 RAPHAEL WITH THE FINAL BLOW TO THE SHREDDER! After a battle against dozens of Shredders in full armor, armed with swords, and have the ability to de-mutate the Turtles one at a time or all at once, RAPHAEL TAKES DOWN THE REAL SHREDDER! The placement hasn't changed, but it was still an awesome battle! "Freaked the Foots, mangled the mousers and totaled the Technodrome. That's... TURTLE POWER!! But, what about the Shredder and Krang...!? Burned to toast? Vaproized to milkshake? Or... Escaped to Dimension X??? Until we know, none of us can sleep safely in our beds... er, shells!" Leonardo, our fearless leader, does his part and walks away with the lowest score with 172 kills showing that being a good leader doesn't always involve being the most violent. Now to head home and reflect on the day's events before getting some rest and continuing to hone his skills with his twin Katana swords. Michelangelo ends our game showing his wild Bruce Lee-like skills with the Nunchaku and a light-hearted attitude with a score of 204 kills! He started in last place and showed the world that when you mess with his family, even someone as fun-loving as Michelangelo can get down to business and save the day. A pizza and some good music is definately more than well-deserved for this Turtle in orange. Donatello spoke softly in this miniature war but still carried a big stick. He definately used the mid-range Bo to the best of his ability and brought home a score of 180 kills. Don's third place score definately makes some time to sit in his lab/garage and tinker with his gadgets well-deserved. Raphael, the hothead who fights with raw power and sharp wit, got second place today with 191 kills. He also has today's Shell Game Play of the Day as well as the final blow to Oroku Saki himself. Now its time for him to kick back with a cold one and watch some Comedy Central. :shredder: :kgrin: :tcouch: |
