You need to identify to a registered nick to join that channel.
that's what it says when i try and get onto tmnt-files.
i think kazaa is so much easier than this...

Like I said before...read some of my old posts where I ranted and raved about how much IRC sucked when it wouldn't work right. Now look at me; I'm getting stuff off of it like I had all the bandwidth in the world and then some.

But to each his own, I say.

Must I help all of you whinny little newbies? The reason is Izzy has an obsession of keeping spammers out and made the channel +R (which is stupid I know) But having a registered nick is helpful never the less. To register your nick type this: /nickserv register e-mail address password or it may be reverse on the e-mail address/password. Once you get the e-mail from nickserv finish registered your nick and you'll be done. Under Perform in irc options put /nickserv identify password and presto you will be good. I don't like +R personally because when Nickserv is being a piece of crap it won't let you identify. If you don't like +R on the channel go to the official tmnt-files homepage and vote no on it now... I voted No. the page if you didn't know is http://www.radixpub.com/tmntfiles. Now no more complaining please.

Well Lots of other channels are +R too. I think it is a god thing, keeps the spammers out. The downside is that when nickserv was down, i couldnt get on...

yet another one of these topics :P well, we already know irc is kinda hard to learn, but i think it's about availability, not about which one's 'the best'.
Sure, kazaa is easier, and if they were in kazaa instead of irc i should've never made an irc room, but they aren't.
If anyone wants to "put em all in kazaa" be my guest, that's what i've been trying to do for like a year now, with no luck, but untill then i guess people will have to use irc...and if they can't learn it then bad luck, even tho i'll try to do my best to help in the tmnt-files forum in case anyone needs help with irc.

nicko can u go on icq more often and help me? yeah i just got 20 more uploads of tmnt off me, if i could somehow get all the eps i bet i could get the mainstream into kazaa and imesh.

Yeah irc's not that bad but you need time and patience to learn it, after that it can be pretty useful, it was for me :D

kazaa now sucks with it's priorities.

actually irc was easy to learn. all u had to do was read that guide, learn the commands, and boom, it's the most fun i've had on the internet in a while, adn it's making me fat! lol well i am fat now.. :| that's not good. oh well i will be fat with all the tmnt episodes!

if anyone is considering irc, do it, i got more than 10 eps, u can't get off of kazaa, yesterday. It's great. Im me if you're having problems, or talk to nicko or karpo
