what went wrong with Oroku Saki?
 

why did he crave so much power and why did he wanna be so dishonorable? What could have twisted him to the guy we know and love/hate.

He probobly had a bad childhood and some trauma growing up. Either that or he just got way into martial arts.

Yoshi murdered Saki's brother when Saki was a child, thus leading him to a life of rage and dishonor, and a lust for vengeance.

I was talking old toon, as for what Dane said...in speaking of the original comics, that'd be the reason, yep.

What did Saki's mom do to him?? Or what happened to her?

Shredderette, in the old toon episode Shredder's Mom, Saki's mother was a psycho little old lady. She was totally nutty, and if Little Shredhead grew up with her that probably accounts for part his problems in adult life. Watch the ep if you can, it's hilarious. Hmm, I'm not able to find an episode of that particular one-- I looked that up too and they all say the same vague bit... In fact I don't think I even saw it when I was a kid! Maybe I did and it escapes my memory... which it shouldn't! That's nutty!! I swear I must've seen it.

All it really says is that she treats him like a baby. So that means she demeans him, I guess...
