If there were TMNT troop builders, would you buy them?
 

I was just looking at my growing Footsoldier army (been buying them cause no new figures have shown up here for months) and I was thinking how cool would it be if Playmates did a few troop building sets with anywhere between 4 and 6 figures in a set.

Iv'e seen hasbro do it with both G.I.Joe and Star wars lines and all sets sold incredibly well.

There are enough different characters in the TMNT universe for Playmates to base this line on and here are a few possible sets they could come up with.

Purple Dragon Set (includes 4-6 purple dragons all with different or alterred moulds)

Foot Soldier set (4-6 generic footsoldiers, different weapons and modified sculpts for different poses)

Foot set (One or 2 each of a few different foot clan troops such as Tech Ninja's technicians, gunners etc)

Federation set (3-5 federation troops all with different head sculpts and one tank driver)

Triceraton set (4-6 generic Triceratons with modified moulds for different poses, different weapons too)

Utrom set (2-3 utroms in human disguise and 2-3 skeletons)

Mouser set (1 giant mouser and a crapload of small ones)

Gang set, from the episode where Raph helps that kid (4-6 different suited villains)

Garbage Man soldier set (4-6 of the garbage man's henchman)


The list could just go on and on, I know there are a few sets mentioned that there isn't any real desperate need for but if there were a federation, triceraton and footsoldier set, I'd be sold.

No. If I actually played with the toys, I might. But one Foot is good enough for me.

also, an elite foot four pack would be sweet.

I would totally buy them seeing as I have 5 foot ninjas, 3 foot techs and 4 elites.

well they already are releasing a mouser 6 pack, but yea foot soldier 3 or 4 packs would be nice

Yes, I would buy any and all of the troop building sets if they were made. :)

I would also want:
1. Feudal Japan Foot Ninjas
2. Feudal Japan Utrom Guardians
3. Present Day Utrom Guardians
4. Underground Monsters

Also for the basic line I would want a Feudal Japan Shredder. :)

absolutely, I would love army builders maybe it would cheaper than buying individuals as well. I bought 3-4 aprils before to get the mousers. I have now i did that long before they announced the 6 packs doh. Anyhow here is a picture of my army so far. My Foot Army so far

I'd buy any of these they wanted to make.

What they really need to do is make a new, more poseable Foot Soldier sculpt. The one we got can't even be posed with a two-handed sword stance. If we got that, then they could do a set with 4 of them and various weapons. I'd buy at least 2-3 sets then. It's got nothing to do with playing with the figures, a display with just a single Foot Ninja just doesn't look right considering the huge numbers of them we see on the show.

And I'm definitely looking forward to the Mouser army builder set, I'll get at least 3 of those too. You can never have too many Mousers.

i would so buy army builder sets....cause individual foot are so hard to find.....i have 7...i think...and it was tough buying them...what if some little kid has no foot and i buy both of these....so yeah i'd buy them...especially mousers....i hate just having the 2 from april...and i ain't about to buy like 6 aprils 4 12 mousers...

I would only buy one of each version.

Those Troop Builder packages were the reason I stopped collecting G.I.Joes.

I'm going to have to go with a "no" on this one. It's a good idea, don't get me wrong, but it's also one that I have zero interest in. I'm debating on whether to keep collecting TMNT or not (for space reasons), and these would probably be the deciding factor.

However, given unlimited space and money...hell yeah! ;)

I'd probably buy them.....After I got caught up with the regular figures. :oops:
