The DVD from England
A friend (from England) brong me back the co callen uncut DVD of the first movie, but my DVD player isn't set to read the disc. Can someone tell me is there any difference in the American and UK's. If there isn't i wond bother opening the DVD and just keep at as a collector's item.

The US uses Region 1 DVDs, the UK uses Region 2 DVDs. Standard DVD players are set to play only one region (so if you're in the US you'll most likely have a Region 1 DVD Player) this allows companies to prevent you from importing etc. The only way to get it to playback is use a Multi-Region DVD Player or playback on your PC.

You also have to remember that in England they have a different type of TV signal called PAL. Here in the States we have NTSC. A multi-region dvd player may still not be able to play the DVD unless it has a PAL->NTSC convertor.

Its the same movie as the U.S. version. Just a higher quality soundtrack and picture in it. I own it and I prefer it over the U.S. release.

If you're in the USA there's no point in getting the Region 2 DVD version. It's not uncut, it just includes the scenes that the UK version didn't get years ago, scenes that have always been in the USA release. It really isn't worth it, it's the exact same version you guys have, and there aren't any special features and NO deleted scenes included. Just keep the copy you have and save your money. :)

Thank you for the input you all
