'Hidden' Messages in Vol 1. #32
This is the issue were the TMNT go to Egypt, not an outstanding issue but not bad. I was bored last night and decided to read it again and I noticed the Hyroglyph decoder and figured 'hey, there must be some to decode'
So sure enough I found bits where you could decode the writing On page 15 a bit says 'Batman is god' and another says '***** (couldn't figure out what the word was supposed to be) is king' Later I also saw something that seems to say 'Jst say no to KKKK'...or something similar, I assumed it was 'just say no'. And one bit in the background on a later double page spread says 'demon' I know I'm sad for spending time to do all that, but I thought I'd share it because I found it amusing. If you have the issue see if you can spot some |
i have this issue. Ill check it out
|
I'll have to check this out later.

Who wants a collection of video games, action figures, and slightly worn footie pajamas? (Just kidding. :) ) |
Well, even though you were joking, it was Mark Bode who pencilled it anyway, not Eastman and Laird. I bet he was putting these messages in and thinking 'they won't even know, hehe'
Although the decoder page is put in it twice |
That's really cool that you noticed that stuff. I could say that I'll go check it out, but I'm way to lazy, so I'll believe you.
|
were you reading the b/w version or the color version? never mind, I'll go check both ;) interesting find...
|
Decoder page? I don't think I ever saw that. I'm gonna check. |

And TMNTGal there's the decoder page printed twice in mine :D |
I was a freshman in highschool when I got that comic and proceded to write all my notes to my friends in hyrogliphics. We all thoght it was really cool, not to mention time consuming. :tlol: The teachers thought we were nuts. (sigh) nothing like a trip down memory lane.

that is awesome, I love finding stuff like that.
