The ninja time thing kinda bugs me too. They could always bring back "Fight with honor." but that will always be a Leonardo line.
The only character that really, really bugs me is Starlie...or however we spell that. It's not her personality exactly, I think it's the name that bothers me. It's like admitting lack of originality.
I don't particularly dislike FF, but I can understand why people do. It was such a drastic, and abrupt change. It's also a step down from what they had. I don't think it was a bad idea, even if it is a
very cliche idea, but the timing for it was all wrong.
Still, I think the characters are acting
somewhat true to the concept. Someone mentioned maturity levels, but take into consideration that these four
teenage boys have never had this kind of freedom. Considering that, I think maybe they adapted too well, and behave themselves a little too much. FF seems a bit toned down, and Care Bear to me. I can't help but wonder if it's the same violence issue they ran into with the first movie. 2k3 (what I've managed to see of it) could be a bit much to handle for really young viewers, and I strongly suspect that to be the reason for the abrupt change. I think the best way to improve not just the series, but the whole damn planet, would be to have it somehow teach parents to be parents, and make them realize they are responsible for their kids. The television is not.
