There are no names for the levels in Mutant Nightmare. The only one named is Nightmare, and that's at the VERY end of the game. They are ordered by episodes, though.

Also, how many years do you think have passed in the show so far? I only ask because we're on the fourth season of the show, but I seriously doubt 4 years have actually passed in the Turtles' timeline. We know at least one year has passed (since between The Christmas Aliens and All Hallows Eve has to be at least 10 months), and I'm sure a fair amount of time passed otherwise over the first two seasons, so I'm estimating about two years have passed in their timeline, though I could be wrong about that as well. The whole thing about time passing in the Turtles' universe is they're specifically labeled as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and since its confirmed they were 15 at the beginning of the show, once 5 years have passed in their timeline they'll no longer truly be teenagers. So that kind of limits the time progression to a degree. Anyway, I'll watch through my tapes for those time references, and see what I can come up with. |

EDIT: Added some preliminary dates, which I'll most likely be changing once I work my way through the first three seasons to look for time references. Please post if you see something which doesn't fit. Last edited by DIrishB; 11-22-2005 at 10:48 AM. |

Well....in the comics the TMNT were introdused as teens in 1984....so in the year 2005, they'd be in their 30's....

Wow they are in their 30's? Wow I keep forgetting the comic was a straghttime line. That I like, it's cool but I hope the TMNT don't all settle down with kids ..cause those superheros who get awife then kids always ruins the story & makes it a drag

Well, I don't pay too much attention on timeline. Don't mind if it's snowing in one episode then sunny in the other.
But atleast things have changed since Episode 1.

I have all 3 TMNT Movies, current Toon, and old school Toon on DVD. |

Anyway I removed the date specifications from the timeline, mainly because its going to be impossible to get an accurate assessment of the passing of time in the series, and because it just seemed to clutter up the list itself. So I'll just leave it at a listing of the order everything takes place in. |

Now, considering all the time travel done in several episodes, are we going by the universe's timeline, or by the Turtles' timeline? From "The Fugitoid" to part of "Secret Origins" (I think? Whenever they got transmatted back home), you'd be going by the Turtles' timeline. "Reality Check", "Across the Universe", "Same As It Never Was", and "The Real World Part One" happened simultaneously (sort of. They were all poofed off to their respective timelines simultaneously, but those timelines happened in separate time branches/dimensions), and also have no effect on the universal timeline. Ditto with "Time Travails", "April's Artifact", and a lot of "The King". Then there's the flashbacks in "Tales of Leo", and "The Lesson". The Battle Nexus also can, apparently, transcend time and space, so I don't know what that does to the timeline. Oh, and also, the Triceraton invasion had to occur at least three weeks after "Secret Origins", since the transmat bought them some time. Essentially, they were at home on Earth at the same time they were off in space (how's that for confusing?) So it was three weeks after the Turtles had met the Utroms, that the Triceraton Empire would lose them and Honeycutt, and find and begin tracking the transionic energy that brought them back to earth (and it apparently sticks around a while). Then it probably took them "a while" to get across the galaxy to earth, accounting for why it took them so long to invade the place after losing the guys (assuming it was "so long"... but that's a lot of stuff between "Secret Origins" and "Space Invaders" to have happened in just over three weeks!). Earlier in this season, they had to air out of order, so "Wing and a Prayer" comes after "All Hallows Thieves". Angel has aged considerably since "Fallen Angel". She was a preteen at the time, and seems to be a teenager now. I personally believe that their timeline is in actual real-time, regardless of season. It's been two years since the show began, and I believe time has progressed two years. I assume you're ignoring the Game Boy Advance video game platform... I don't have any experience with the 3d ones, but the GBA's pretty much replicate the events of the show, but try to string it together with a rather lame "plot" that has very little to do with the show (for instance, Honeycutt's teleportal actually does work, and it's powered by crystals, as is the Utrom's transmat, and also some device Baxter uses to scramble their signals so they'd arrive without their weapons. Oh, and the Turtles were transmatted to D'hoonib out of nowhere while they were minding their own business at home. Yeeeah.) EDIT: Oh, and you can REEALLY try to complicate things by trying to figure in the junior novels with original stories ("Shadows Over Chinatown", "The Secret", "Blackout!", etc etc).

My brain hurts....
But Aska's right....i think Splinter in Secret Origins 1 says they have been gone 8 hours. and Raph responds with "8 hours?! We were gone 3 weeks!" But that's temporal mechanics for ya. Supposedly if you could travel at like the speed of light to the nearest star and use a telescope strong enough to see to earth...you could see your birth...or maybe even eariler...who knows. Kinda like the whole theory of reletivity where one twin goes to Warp 1 (light speed for you non-Trekers.) and returns he will have aged less than his twin who is a light year older...and is actually a tomb stone in some cemetary some where...time travel and intergelactic travel are hard consepts to grasp...Imean Casey says that the guys were gone mere seconds in April's Artifact and who knows the actual time frame. This is quite a huge undertaking.

Speaking of which, still hoping someone will provide me with a level by level rundown/comparison of the new game, TMNT 3 - Mutant Nightmare, and the episodes they adapt, so I can add that into the timeline. Quote:

But I understand the concept, like I said I was just going by Earth-time, to prevent as much confusion as possible. Didn't work out that way unfortunately. |

Wow... you dug up a bunch of novels I didn't know about, either... do you have reasons for placing them where you did, or just your best guess? (out of curiosity) Quote:
"When Raphael and Michaelangelo enter an amateur wrestling match, their opponents turn out to be none other than Shredder's right-hand man, Hun, and his brother, Ahnold." You've GOT to be kidding me... You know... this could be *very* dangerous. I've been writing an encyclopedia of stuff in the Aladdin universe, trying to put everything in a timeline, and making note of every character/artifact/place name/creature, and include every show, book, comic, and game I can find... but I'm also trying to iron out some of the continuity errors that inevitably occur when you've got all sorts of different teams working on a universe, that aren't talking to each other. I'm seeing contradictions already, here in these books. I've been trying to ignore the books, cuz of what they might start. My encyclopedia-writing fancy has been struck, and I'm trying to resist it.... (help!) You may have birthed a monster here...

Like I said, give me a month or two to track down some of these, read them, and see where and how they fit in and I'll be able to determine the validity in including them. I might have to exclude them totally, but we'll have to wait and see. Thanks for your help though, I for one appreciate it greatly. |

Added in the TMNT 3 - Mutant Nightmare video game levels, so the timeline is almost complete. All thats left is to track down the books/novels and read through them so I can finalize their placement, and possible adjust them if need be. Thanks to TheLastSonof84 for providing me with the video game info, and thanks to everyone else who offered their help. I'm sure I'll be needing more in the future, so if something looks out of place, be sure to post it and let me know!
