are those unofficial image 24-25 comics on eBay worth the money?
Story: Andrew Modeen
Art: Arseniy Dubakov, Frank Fosco, David Seltzer Number of Story Pages: 31 (from 52) Additional Material: 1) "Practical Jokes" - 6 pages TMNT story by Will Tupper & Donna G. Omo; 2) "Conflict Resolution" - 8 pages story by Will Tupper & Dennis Kennedy; 3) "TMNT Versus Spawn" - 5 pages story by Frank Fosco & Courtland Brugger. The Volume 3 of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was released through Image Comics from 1996 to 1999 and, unfortunately, was canceled after issue 23 and subsequently declared to be non-canon. However, recently the TMNT fans gathered and decided to finish the production of the remaining issues, albeit unofficially, thus providing the missing link between the third and the fourth volumes. The first of these issues is before your very eyes. Despite of being unofficial, the comic still contains the work of such people as Frank Fosco (TMNT Vol.3 #1-23 artist), Gary Carlson (TMNT Vol.3 writer), Ross May (Tales of the TMNT writer), Will Tupper (Tales of the TMNT writer), Jim Lawson (Mirage Studios artist) and A.C. Farley (Mirage Studios artist)! *** Issue signed by it's artist, Arseniy Dubakov. 301455325473 is the item number of one of them. He wants 25 and 10 for shipping and its autographed by him. I did buy a copy of odyssey from him but I'm yet to pay. |

Yeah it's worth it, Odyssey was a great book in every way (minus a couple of spots where it could have used a proofread by a native English speaker). I'm waiting until I get around to catching up to reading the image series to actually read 24-25, but I expect nothing less from them. Also look for Tales of the TMNT #71.

Absolutely. It not only gives Volume 3 the ending it truly deserved had it not been cancelled, it also does an excellent job of bridging the gap to Volume 4.

well i currently have no other image comics. and the rest of my tmnt collection is the ultimate collection volume 1-5 and the entire idw collection up to date. along with a vast amount of newer toys that are opened on display and the new comic figures still in their packaging. so my collection is growing and growing. im very happy i went ahead and purchased the odyssey and the 24 and 25 image. im going to just frame the 24 and 25 since i can read the pdfs. thanks alot for the replies i really appreciate it. i dont really post much but i check back from time to time and this is my favorite place for tmnt news and discussion.

Except for the original TPB that collects the first five issues, I don't have any of the Image volume myself... waiting for IDW to reprint.
Does anyone know if Andrew Modeen offered a hardback or trade paperback version of Issues #24 and 25?

Having contributed to the book, I am a little biased but it's definitely a well made book and you should pick it up if you can. As others have said, it wraps it up nicely and bridges the gap.

I'm waiting for IDW to release the image set in a collection of some sort. I almost bought the complete set a few times for considerably cheaper than usual but didn't. I'll just wait it out. Ive read all of the issue summaries and it looks decent.

Why the hell would anyone pay for fan fiction you can read online for free?

I am so excited, I just bought these two. $70 is a little steap but they are a great thing to finish up volume 3.

If I'm not mistaken, I think #24 only received an English language print run of 135 issues (100 first printing, 35 second print) and #25 also only received 135 issues for it's single run (with an additional 15 in Russian?).
They're actually some of the least printed TMNT issues out there, so worth scooping up while you can. |

Arseniy Dubakov is selling some copies very frequently. Maybe he is reprinting them. At first they were on auction but gradually less people were interested in (probably because more people were having the issues already) and Arseniy decided to sell them at a fixed price.
Currently the run is I believe over 135 or so copies. You can find his ebay store here: http://www.ebay.com/sch/demonalukard...84.m1423.l2654 I assumed this seller Demonalukard87 is Arseniy. I hope I am not mistaken. My copie are from him and are specified as First Printing in the inside cover. Yet I do not have in these copies the TMNT/Predator add for instance. Not that it does matter much. Does someone know more about different prints of these issues ? Good thing is that they are signed and sketched in the inside by Arseniy. |

Also, is there a review of these that can sum up the story for me. I have no image issues, but just curious how it moves into vol 4. (Goes to check TMNT Entity) |
