No, I doubt we will ever see them again. That announcement was made before Viacom (Nickelodeon) purchased the turtles, which changed everything about Playmates Toys plans for the future

What he said. But one never knows, we may end up getting a new line of toys based on the original film, for collectors, somewhere in time.

movie star turtles were great, but i really don't like raph's face... that's their only real flaw for me. i think we can count on seeing new movie turtles for the new live action film... if it ever gets made.

will the quality be as good? hard to top... they were pretty amazing for their time. they didn't really look like any other playmates figures before or since.

Thumbs up This was my favorite line...

This would be a great year to re-release them- 20 year anniversary and the original sets fetch some of the highest prices of any of the turtle figures-even though they don't seem to be all that rare (well the first edition ones anyway). Not sure about re-releases as a whole though now since the original anniversary figures ended up on sale racks in some areas. I still think they failed to advertise the 2008 sets being available.

I do agree on the facial expression issue too, I always thought Leo's face should be different as well. I'm pretty sure either Mike or Raph made that expression in the movie anyway during the pizza eating scene (again not sure, and its been years since I last watched it-also this was my opinion as a kid so not sure how much weight to put behind that, but I did see the movie a ton of times back then).

Still the coolest figures of all time in my opinion...

If they did I hope they would put some articulation on them
I went back and 'played' with my old ones and I don't like the bendy bodies

That would be pretty sweet if they did a Movie Star mold on the Classic line up, the original Movie Star line was hands down my absolute favorite Turtles as a kid!
