Something I've noticed about the quotes in this show...

Is it just me, or do the characters LOVE to respond to each other's sayings in clever ways ALOT? They even sometimes follow up their own sayings with something clever too!

---

Raph: Face it Mikey! Nobody in the world will be able to understand you!.....heck! We don't even understand you!

---

Leo: Get him!

Baxter Stockman: Get me? You will be the ones that will be getting got! Gotten? Get them!

---

Mikey: Well that plan didn't work.

Dogpound: Worked great for me!

---

Raph: If I had taken care of Snakeweed, he would've been toast by now!

Mikey: Man, that is one nasty toast.

---

Karai: I like your brother Leo! He's almost as entertaining as you!

Raph: Oh, when this is all over, I'll show you how "entertaining" I can be!

I mean I really love this show, don't get me wrong. But sometimes it makes me wonder if the main reason there's so many moments like these is because the writers have nothing better to make the characters say.

So the characters actually interact?

... I think that is pretty awesome.

Raph stuffing his hand over Mikeys mouth, just a second before Mikey is about to say. "Oh rats." again.

The turtles laughing and pointing at fish-face saying. "Look! Sushi that delivers itself!"

Having conversations that goes like this;

"Donnie you are the smart one, what do we do?"

"I don't know, poke him."

"Good idea, Mikey, you poke him."

"I don't want to poke him! you poke him!"

"Okay lets put it to a vote." "Mikey."

"Sigh.. fine."

See! Actual conversation! these are not just character monologing to themselves or the audience, these are spot on, very sharp, conversations, they sound like people actually talking and interacting with each other.

And all the examples you gave as well.. well, that's just characters actually talking to each other, and delivering some sharp jokes. Which just means some-body at the studio, is a very skilled dialouge writer, don't know who it is, but the dialouge is very sharp, and a step up from the 2k3 show.

If you want an example of some-thing with great monoloug but terrible dialouge.

Batman the dark knights rises. I swear, no one has any actual conversation in that movie, all they do is monolouging to each other, and that's not the same thing.
In this show, people talk and respond to each other, they don't just monolouge, and that's a good thing.

I love the quotes in the show and how the characters feed off one another. That's what makes it so great.
