Diorama WIP

I don't normally like to post work in progress stuff but it's taking me too long to finish this! I've stuck some bits down just to give a rough idea of what I'm planning:

So far I've only really done the easy part, there's a lot more work to be done. There's a lot of sculpting to be done on the extra walls. On the second sewer, I intend to change the hexagonal opening to an arch, just for variety. The TVs have to be cut out and I'll probably just have a plain wall there. I may add another ledge in the corner of second sewer, but I haven't figured out the best way to do it yet. I have a few pipes from the TMNT sewer and the Batman Begins playset to add, and the spare hexagonal gate to use. Any thoughts on the best way to organise the features would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the kind words everyone, hopefully it'll give me the impetus to finish the project!

I'm certainly very proud to warrant a Regular Show reference! I'll carry on posting bits and pieces as I go along. There are some ladders to go up to the manhole covers but I haven't figured out the best way to attach them yet, I could do with some help there. I'll post some pics to illustrate what I'm thinking.

With regard to the subway tunnels, the back wall is quite big, but doesn't seem tall enough for a usable ledge. I was probably going to put some some pillars on it, as one large brick wall is a bit dull. I don't really think pillars are going to help that very much though, any thoughts on how that wall should look?

Thanks!

Looks great! I've been looking for subway tracks for mine lately, where did yours come from? In can only find them in smaller scales.

Thanks! The subway tracks are just the ones that came with the 2003 sewer lair, I can't think of a good alternative. I got some Duplo train tracks, but the detail on those is really sparse.

I've made a small amount of progress, I've finished one of the extra walls and added the ladder. So, the guys' home is done! Sewer Sweet Sewer!

I'd appreciate any ideas on what I could do with the blank wall at the back of the "subway tunnels", because I'm not really sure what to do with it, I think a wall of bricks is just going to be dull and it needs something to break it up a bit.

That looks amazing, really great work. For the blank walls, I'd go with some arches, like the ones on the second floor of the playset. Then do the posts in grey. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

That TMNT lair is lookin cool! I've been wanting to create a custom diorama too, but I am more focused on custom figures at the moment. Eventually I'll get to the dioramas and vehicles. Nice Work!

Thanks guys, I'm really grateful for the kind words!

D-Nizzy, that's a great idea, I'll do a mock up to try and get an idea how it'll look! Your dios are awesome btw!

TurtleManiac, I look forward to seeing a dio from you in future, I'm sure it'll be great if your custom figures are anything to go by!
