Gee I thought this was one of the better filler episodes, in fact, I thought this was the best filler episode so far. Don't know about next weeks, I won't jump to conclusion until I see it.

Blah. I mean it was allright, but just more drab looking. I hate a lot of the interior shots in this show as they are so generic looking(like the inside of the Purple Dragon arena) though the TMNT look cool as ever, as does the aniamtion on the Battle Shell.

Btw, is that MOJO next week, or just a total ripoff?

Finally, the Eastman/Larid street thing was cool, and my fave part of the show was something very subtle...when the TMNT dressed in urban youth garb try to be incognito amonst the crowd, one of the turtles has his hand to close to another one, and he kind of swats it away. Just really interesting chemistry even when they dont need to put in little touches like that.

Yes, it has occurred to me that most of the episodes of the old cartoon could be considered fillers. But this episode didn't do anything to adavnce the main plot, which is why I consider it to be filler. Of course, the old toon, after season two, didn't have a main plot...

This is a Saturday morning cartoon show, not a damn soap opera. You think the kids watchin Looney Toons are worried about the ongoing relationship between Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd?

Thank you. I knew he looked familiar but I couldn't place who I thought it was. Yeah he does look an awful lot like Mojo.

As a stand-alone episode, this one wasn't too bad. The Turtles' disguises were a thousand times more convincing than the ones they used in the old series. Nice to see they're keeping up with style.

For some reason, they didn't show the preview for next week here. If someone could do a video capture of it and post it online (or just post some screen shots from the preview) I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I don't think this episode was filler. As I said before it furthered the storylines of Casey, Purple Dragons, and Hun. I liked this episode. Just because it didn't advance the main storyline, it did further advance the stories of some of the main players.

Besides I think "one shot" is a more appropriate term for episodes like Garbageman and Nano. The writers are just trying to switch up the tempo a bit, try some new things, and lighten the story at parts.

The old show did not have a continuing story so the new episodes really can't be compared. Because even a one shot episode in the new show like Nano, introduced two main characters (April and Casey) to each other.

A very good for me, its nice to see the Casey/Hun storie developing, though if hun knew it was casey why didn't he ever just go to his home and deal with him? The scene with the battle shell in the sewer was classic, though I do wonder why they got it down there, leaving it in the warehouse would have been easier, and I can't wait to see how the remote gets worked into the future eps. I still want to know what the IQ of the Purple Dragon gaurd is, so they gave the right signal, they only had 3 fingers and they were green, you can't see that?!?!
Anyway did angle seem familir to anyone else? Like she was on another cartoon? For some reason I thought she kinda looked like Jade from Jackie Chan, but now quite, she seems so familiar but I can't quite place who she reminds me of.

You raise three very interesting questions here. Well I guess it's a cartoon so real life logic can't apply. Besides in the comics Casey's real name was Arnold, so if anyone went looking for a Casey Jones in the phone book they wouldn't find him.

Yeah.. I agree about how we call em "filler eps". What is the deifinition of a filler ep? This one didn't seem like a 'filler ep' to me. It felt like a continuation of sorts with the Art of Invisibility. Just cause Saki/Shredder ain't in it doesn't make it a Real Episode, does it?

I think the only eps we can call bona fide 'fillers' were Nano and this next one with that Garbage man... Mojo thing.

But I liked this ep... by introducing Angel as a major character, it gave me that Danny/Keno sense like we got from the movies. It also shown more background on the Purple Dragons, Hun, and Casey!

Yes.. I thought that PD guard was dense. Not only did he not notice the Turtles hands, he didn't notice their lack of shoes, and ripe green faces.

I thought this was a good ep, I actually liked the Angel character and wouldn't mind seeing her some more later in the series.. Just not as a main character... Anyways, Im not sure if I'd call this a filler, but it does border on it... whatever that means

Well, time for my opinionated ramblings, but first. MondoGeico... Mojo is an infamous villan in X-Men who comes from either another galaxy or another dimension, I gorget which. Anyway, Mojo keeps recruiting them for his reality shows involving their destruction, which they alway manage to get out of, making a killing in the ratings. And now, for my rant. This rant could possibly be laden with spoilers, but it's mainly specualtion (except for the stuff I've seen... Thank you Shareaza!!) NONE of these eps are filler. NONE of them. Sure, this could be a stand alone episode, but it not only advanced the relationship between Casey Jones and Hun and Raph and Hun, it also gave the turtles some valuable combat experience, while making their presence among the purple dragons and foot VERY clear. Now that this happened, Saki could consider it a DIRECT attack on his organization and officially begin war with tthe Turtles, which is expected in episode 10. Also, don't be so foolhardy as to consider Nano a no nothing episode, besides April and Casey interacting. Nononononono... Baxter Stockman will most likely get his hands on nano technology, whcih could possibly lead to his 'transformation' when he fights the turtles and Shredder. It's already been revealed that Stockman used nanomachines in the comic, so why not in the show? So, had you have disregarded Nano, and my theorums prove to be true, then wouldn't you feel just a TAD bit silly writing it off as something that could have been done without? That's the beauty of this series, it all ties into one another. I'm willing to bet that the skills they use to beat garbageman will be applied to some future episode. Also, just because they were green and had three fingers means NOTHING... I mean, look at some of the freaks in the gang!! They could have just been in one of the weird costumes that the other freaks in the ugly convention wearing. Also, I'm very proud of this because it WASN'T so touchy feely... In fact, it seemed to PARODY touchey feely type things. Casey was all about cracking wise when he got released, but the sight of his Jose Consecko bat touched him sooooo much... Also, to the one who asked about the swords and Leo's clothes. Ok, Leo wore a trench. Trenchs are DAMNED good for hiding things like that... Trust me, I know. Why do you think they wore the trenches and fedoras in the old series and movie? Hell, Leo has a trench in the comic. And how many, when they saw him thought "Neo Leo"? Well? Well?

Did anyone else notice that one of the PDs was wearing a foot symbol on hi **** instead of a PD symbol? I thought the line between the 2 groups was more pronouced (aside from hun).

Well, it's not all that much of a secret. The PD's probably tend to brag about their backing, which is directly strributed to their being the toughest gang around. Also, he might have been a foot soldier trainee...

Whoa whoa whoa... it may be ageeed that nano can be a filler, but I certainly wasn't pushing it to the wayside as something that wasn't good. I thought it was a nice ep, especially since I have a thing for robots anyway.

It's just that they left so many possiblities open there, it's best to leave it at the wayside until something related to it does come up later.

heh.. yes, he could have done that. But, Leo must be pretty damn ninja quick to pull them out, harness and all, then strap them on in a split second. (yeah yeah.. so I'll just leave this to supehero zippo/chango abilites)

And no.. I hadn't though of Neo Leo. Been awhile since I last saw the Matrix.

Not a bad episode, not my fav. episode. I'm not complaining, though. There will be more episodes that aren't as spectacular as others. That's the way it should be in my own opinion, though. This one does beat "Nano." I got a pretty good laugh at Casey's reaction after getting his "present." We're getting closer to seeing Shredhead in action. Can I hear a 'cowabunga' to that?
