where do you hang all this amazing art? Are they on a rotating schedule?

*Plasticplayhouse* · 08-23-2013, 05:49 PM

they take turns being displayed. it keeps everything fresh.

here's a few more recent additoins to my collection!

Leo - Eric Talbot

i really love this one of Leo on duoshade. it's got such a great Mirage feel to it.

this was originally just suppose to be an pencil and ink sketch but Charles P. Wilson III hooked me up with some extra tones on the house!!! man i love his work

*Shogun26* · 08-23-2013, 06:44 PM

ugh! Those are so cool esp the leo!
Congrats!

*Redrumh2o* · 08-23-2013, 06:48 PM

Thats awesome!!!...I wish I could have gone to BCC this year. Chances are that if the bombing never happened, I would own that first Talbot piece

OA · 08-23-2013, 06:52 PM

Love Talbot...bit congrats on those

i was one of the first ones into the con and chances are i would have been one of the first ones into the con in April too. i bought my tickets way in advance. i was so excited to meet him a get a piece of art from him that i practially ran to eric's booth!

eric attended hero's con before BCC. i'm sure he had that piece there too. i was supprised it was available.

*Powder* · 08-23-2013, 07:47 PM

That duo-toned Talbot piece is especially impressive. Everything else is great too, though.

Jay $tarkiller · 08-23-2013, 11:30 PM

Daaayumn! Talbot is such a beast!!! That duoshade piece looks simply beautiful..I'd kill for all those Talbot pieces

*Plasticplayhouse* · 08-24-2013, 09:26 AM

thanks man! i love how raph looks in his coat and ball cap and it's also a really great raph and casey piece. mateus really does some fantastic art! i'm surprised there are still pages left on his Cadence store

a couple of the page prices are maybe a little on the high side, but for the most part i think his prices are pretty fair. especially for the amount of detail you get and the fact his art is 11x17 where as many other artists use 9x12ish.

Cavjo · 09-18-2013, 12:07 PM

WOW!!!! nice additions man!!!! congratz!!

*Plasticplayhouse* · 09-25-2013, 06:55 AM

thanks!

i had a very good last couple of weeks. i went to fantacon and met up with Mark Martin, Eric Talbot, Kevin Eastman, Ross Campbell, Bill Anderson, Steve Bissette, and a couple of my fellow fans who were pretty awesome themselves! i was able to pick up some pretty cool stuff

The following is art from TMNT volume one, issues 16, 22, & 23 by Mark Martin. as you may gather, i really dig his art and style

TMNT 16 pg 17 - Mark Martin

An interesting fact about issues 22 and 23 (not sure if issue 16 followed this process as well) is that Mark drew the pages, then scanned them onto a thinner form of duoshade paper where he toned them by hand, added some additional inking and/or other details, and used these pages to publish the comic. So the comics are printed directly from these toner pages and NOT from the first line of art. You can see the comparison between the two in my matching pages of issue 23 pg 18.

22 pgs 1, 2, 3, 4, 34, & 35

*Plasticplayhouse* · 09-25-2013, 07:03 AM

23 pgs 7, 8, 17, 18, 19,
Here are both pages of page 18. The first is the original lined art, the second is the toner page. Pretty cool stuff!
