I'm not very band oriented... mostly sound oriented.

But this pretty much sums up everything: Rock - classic, alternative, some heavy metal, and Christian; Instrumental soundtracks; Celtic music; Techno/Dance hall; Classical music

I like all types of music except for heavy metal and rap....I use the various types of music for different reasons. For instance, I use classical music when I am studying.

heh

*sigh*

One) Limpbizkit is not the worst band ever. I have heard far worse.

Two) There is no such thing as 'bad taste'. One stylistic preference is just as valid as another.

Three) I don't like limpbizkit because of 'taste' to begin with. I outgrew that mode of thinking/relating long ago.

Preach it, I to like limpbizkit, once you get to a certain age you don't care what is cool to like or not like anymore. And as some of you know I am a pseudo-musician, and I can appreciate some of the things that limpbizkit does, very intricate guitar lines and I love the use of drop tunings in their music.

They were doing something somewhat fresh in the music scene when 3'Dollar Bill ya'll came out and that's why I applaud them. and their style changes all the time, at Wrestlemania they debut a new song that was AMAZING and sounded barely like limpbizkit's previous work, showing musical growth.

So Heretic, Which is your favorite lp album and did you hear "Crack addict" yet?

Otherwise Take Vespera and GWgtrunks lists and that's the stuff I like.

Yeah, I basically agree.... although 3db wasn't as fresh as some would believe (it is remarkably similar to the Deftones' work at the time). But still, it was an excellent 'starting point' for the band.

My fave LB lp is Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water. But, my two favorite songs they have done are Boiler (Choc Starfish) and Everything (3dbY).

I heard the new song Crack Addict on an internet download. And it was pretty damn awesome, among their top five songs I would say.

Oh, did you know that Mike Smith (formerly of Snot), the guy that played at Wrestlemania, is LB's new guitarist?? Fred said their vibe with him was so good that they were gonna start from stratch and record a BRAND NEW album!! (they already has 19 finished songs that Smith was not involved with). That's cool, I think. I can't wait to hear the new album (which Durst promises us will be out before their summer tour.)

Actually, you do have a good point it was similar to Deftones. (Which is another band I love) and simply listening to that, and then Starfish, I mean the amount of growth they have done scince then.. it's just great! alot of bands don't "Grow" with their music like that these days.
Chocolate Starfish was a great album! A friend of mine knew I loved limpbizkit so the day it was released she bought the album as a gift to me.. I'd have to say that Significant Other is my favorite, simply because of memories i have listening to that album "Boiler" is one of my favorite songs too, me and my friend Josh cruise around with that song just CRANKED up all the way! Off of 3db, Gotta say "Counterfeit" it was the first song I heard by them. (I actually recorded the video too hehe) and off of significant other, I have to say "re-arranged" and "Nobody Like You" would probably be my favorites, with an honorable mention to "9 Teen 90 Nine"

And ya know I *knew* that guitar player looked familiar, but I couldn't place him! We figured out the other guy was Munkey from KoRn and, even though I haven't heard confirmation on that, I still asume that was him.

Wrestlemania was such a great limpbizkit moment if you are a fan of theirs, After the first match the ring announcer said "Ladies and gentlemen, the WWE's FAVORITE BAND LIMPBIZKIT!" And they played "rollin" Towards the end the video wall played the Undertaker's promo video, and fred durst walked to the ring, then the Undertaker followed him out on his motorcycle got in the ring, and they gave eachother a hug. apparenly Fred is an undertaker fan, and that kinda proved it I guess

Then they came out later and officially blew my mind with "Crack addict" such a great song, and that's cool they are going to Involve Mike in the album now! They played a studio version of crack addict during the promo for wrestlemania about 5 minutes before the show started, then played it again the next night on RAW, it sounded good but was that Durst that played guitar on that track? Someone told me he was, but I always heard Durst was a crap guitar player, eventough I thought it sounded good.

Yeah, it was all good.

It was actually Head from Korn that played with Mike Smith on the song Crack Addict. It was a two-guitarist song, so they needed two guitarists!

Mike Smith played on Rollin.

Yeah, Fred Durst wrote and recorded the guitar parts on Crack Addict... but as he has said before, he is not a guitarist and won't play the guitar on their tours (even though he wrote and recorded the guitar music on the album).

Well, they're gonna make a brand new album with Mike Smith, anyways, who WILL be writing and recording the new guitar parts as well as playing guitar on the tours. Hopefully, they'll release a double cd this summer: the 19 songs they initially had (including Crack Addict) plus whatever they do with Mike Smith.

OH YEAH!! Sorry I was hopped up on Vicodin when I was typing that, I was SEARCHING my head to remember which Guitar player the second guy was
I'd have to check my tape again, but Im pretty sure Head also played on Rollin, 'cause they had a 2 guitar thing goin on in that song.

That would be cool if they did a 2 disk set, it's a risky thing to do 'cause a double album always has potential to blow up in your face, but the Smashing Pumpkins did it, and sold millions I don't see why limpbizkit couldn't do it.

My problem is that a lot of the artists/groups I've listened to over my life I've never heard more than one song by them. The few exceptions are Nine Inch Nails (of course ), Marylin Manson, Depeche Mode, and Rob Zombie.

they are a very interesting band becaue i believe they are signed on to two lables. One which is christian (that distributes their cd's to christian book stores and what have you) and a mainstreem lable. Actually, dc Talk (who is my fave band ever) did the same thing about three years ago. Currently they are on forefront (ccm lable) and virgin (mainstreem).

What i think is super cool, is that POD is doing the new main song for the Matrix. Like how random is that?! LOL
