im not looking to make money, i love every piece in my tmnt collection. it just feels good knowing i have it, compared to wanting it and knowing the item is expensive and that ill never pay for it.

I thought that too, until I realized I could sell a DVD with a measly 5 episodes on it for nearly $80.

All the 4kids episodes are uploaded online and on youtube anyway, so its not like there's no other way to watch them. Besides I'm confident the series will get a new DVD release at some point, and by the time those come out the current DVDs will become worthless. Best sell them now while they're in demand.

I don't collect things just to sell them again, I wouldn't sell a collection that took me that long to get just because theres new ones coming out either lol

I'll be keeping my 4kids DVDs too. Don't want to sell them. If Nick do release the DVDs eventually, I'll buy them too.

I'd only buy them again if they released them in a cool collectors box

Not selling mine. I am thankful to have all of them on DVD (except the last season Back to the Sewers, which I wouldn't mind getting one day from Australia but it won't be anytime soon. Thus I just have it on DVD-R).

There is no 100% guarantee that this show will be released again on DVD. I don't see the show getting a Blu-ray release ever. And who knows how long the DVD format itself will be around. For all we know, by the time the new Nick Show is done (which who knows how many years later it will be, and MAYBE that's when Nick will look into. But like someone said, Nick has no obligation to release it and I doubt they even care at all about the 2003 show), the studio might not waste their time with releasing DVD's of the 2003 show.

As for online, I prefer physical DVD's or Blu-Ray's over watching something online.

I ripped my DVDs to my computer and sold the DVDs since they go for a lot.

As long as I have all the episodes where I can rewatch them at any time that's good enough.

True, unless your computer goes haywire or such lol. I know it sounds stupid since I can only speak personally, but it seems for me my TV's and DVD's last longer than my computers. So maybe that's why I prefer the others more.

I downloaded the episodes from youtube (spaniard dubbing) so it wasn´t necessary to purchase the original dvd´s, not that i like copies but i prefer the latin america dubbing but there are not to many official material in my language, but then a friend of mine had to sell some of his dvd collection and i purchased them. Now i´m really with myoriginalcollection and i´mlooking forward to purchase more dvd´s and not that i´m negative, but i don´t think Nick will release this series on dvd´s

I own both Season One releases, which I bought when they first came out. I still feel like they don't go for that much even now. It was even maybe a little over a year ago I saw Season One Part 2 for $2 at Dollarama.
I also have the Ninja Tribunal DVD I bought when it came out and I also have the (incomplete) Season 4 DVD that I bought used years ago when it wasn't too expensive (I think maybe like $12).
I was going to get both of the Season 2 sets but I put it off thinking I'll get them when they come down in price, lol. Bad move. BUT! Last year I realized my local library had both of these sets. I couldn't resist renting them out and rippping the DVDs which luckily weren't scratched enough to prevent me from doing so. Saved me over $100

If anyone is interested, Canadian shop iNetVideo.com has some 4Kids TMNT releases, including 2 copies of ridiculously expensive Season 2 Part 1.

That's nuts. It's hard to believe I nabbed mine on Amazon for 12 bucks just a few years ago.

It's ridiculous the amount sellers are charging for some of those 2k3 DVDs. Nearly $900 for a DVD? :\

I admit I paid $200 for Season 2 Part 2, I don't know what was going through my head at the time when I bought it lol I must have been really desperate.

That's the rarest one, isn't it? I got it for 40 bucks; relatively cheap compared to the enormous prices it was going for in other places.

Yeah that's the rarest. The Australian sets are like gold dust too.

It kills me because I f*cking had those Season 2 sets IN MY HAND at Best Buy more than once when they came out, but always on a day when money was tight and I had other things to get. It was always, "I'l pick it up next week". Back then the TMNT DVDs weren't exactly flying off the shelves at our local Best Buy, so while most times any TMNT DVD is an immediate purchase, I was fairly sure I could just pick them up in a few days. Especially since I'd already bought the earlier releases, so I had all the episodes (just not in order). Figures, the ONE time I don't buy something the second I see it, it vanishes and skyrockets in price.

I know for a fact I've seen them on seller's tables at flea markets, though, and at least once in a Used bin at FYE. Always when I'm absolutely out of cash, obviously. You just gotta keep an eye out and look in places where people have zero idea what they actually have.

We can only hope this series gets a proper release one day. Won't be for another 5-10 years, though, I'd pretty much put money on it. As far as the powers that be are concerned, it's already been done and released. They won't look back to that show as a source of profit until they've squeezed every last dollar out of the current show.

I paid almost $100 for f*cking Ninja Tribunal, myself, so yeah. I'm one of those assholes too.
