Score! Another TMNT game is added to my collection.

I have finally tracked down TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist and I love it! Not sure if it's better than Turtles in Time though. I'm quite partial to that one. I need someone to come over (most likely my cousin) so I can do two player. I have but one TMNT game left to aquire... TMNT: Tournament Fighters for the Genesis. So be happy for me!

I'm sure you're gettin' the new game when it comes out.
I just happened to have both Hyperstone Heist AND GEN: Tournament Fighters for several years now....ever since they were new.

I just bought the Hyperstone Hiest in mint condition (Box, book, & warrentry paper included) off ebay. I've had SNES Tournament Fighters for quite some time. If anyone has the Genesis version of Tournament Fighters and wants to sell it let me know, cause I wan't to kick ass as Casey & April. I'd use the rom but emulation sucks (except MAME).

I've never had any problems with Emulation, the Emu I use is perfect...
I guess it depends on your OS/processor/Ram though... What Emu are you using? (I mean, it can tide you ever untill you can find a copy to buy)

None of them. Turtles in Time on the SNES and The Hypstone Heist are basically built from the same source code (much like TMNT II and TMNT III were). There are a few similar areas, but they are vastly different games. The gameplay is almost exactly the same though. The thing is that Genesis couldn't push the power that the SNES could so you can't do cool stuff like throw foot soldiers at the screen and the sound isn't quite as good. One could argue that the graphics are also not as nice, but I kind of like them. They are darker and easier on the eyes. The only similar bosses are Super Shredder and Leatherhead. They tossed in Tatsu and the ever familiar Rocksteady (alla The Arcade Game) but his model is cooler looking. Less variety in foot soliders as well... but plenty of just a few kinds is enough to keep things interesting. THSH also has far less levels. About 6 I believe. Where as Turtles in Time has many. THSH sorta makes up for this by making the levels excruciatingly long... The only thing that I find incredibly stupid in the game is that you have to fight every boss again (alla Mega Man) all in the same level. They are both great games though. I think I still like Turtles in Time better but only time and much playing will tell...

Hey no fair ThirdMarioBro mint! Mine was only the cart
Oh hey if anyone on this board is going to sell their TF for Genesis... it's gonna be to

I don't really have much trouble emulating the Genesis or any system for that matter, and emulation can be useful. I'm all for emulation because it preserves all of those old cartridges that I and many people love. You never know if they will be around in the future. I just meant that I don't care for console emulation (Long Live MAME!!) because it just dosen't feel right playing a old console game without my good ole Genesis/SNES/NES controller. I should have been more clear on what I said. Sorry about that. I love MAME because of all those arcade games that were never released.

Hyperstone heist is a ok game, but technicaly inferior to TMNt in time. Most noticable things are much simpler animations and lower quality sounds. Still, it's a good TMNT game.

Yeah thanks for reiterating.

It's technically inferior, but a great game none the less. Still nothing can remove TMNT 4 from it's place in my heart.

OH! Okay, makes sense!

I use a Microsoft sindwinder, which is realy comfortable... But you are right, it's nothing like playing the real game, on a TV with the REAL controllers!

Hey I've got a Side Winder as well. Works great for MAME emus! If I had three more controls I could do four player TMNT and that is one of the best gaming experiences known to man!
