Yes yes, horrible fate indeed but only if assume if he'll remain dead or crippled or whatever actually happened.

Just like how nobody thought Knightfall, Death of Superman or Superior Spider-Man would keep the respective main characters out of the picture, I seriously doubt anyone believes Donatello's loss will be permanent.

Turtles in Time part 4, I remember people were asking what could lead to Donatello leaving the fight against the Foot..I can only wonder if this played into his decision in that future time line?

Or perhaps that played into his decision for the actions he just took. That was a potential timeline and I think he felt that his future self's actions had something to do with the future loss of his brothers.

That's been my thinking. I've also been wondering if Tang Shen might play a part in saving her son... we've already seen her work to save Leonardo and restore the Hamato Clan.

Yeah, but unlike DC or Marvel, events in TMNT's main storylines (IDW, Mirage, Image) have ALWAYS mattered and ALWAYS been done in a way that isn't just a cheap cash-grab. Donny may recover by Issue #50, but it's not going to be Superboy punching Reality to bring Jason Todd back to life or crap like that.

I am still in shock, this is new to me I never expected anything like this before, it's new to me.

IDW is the first comic book series I read, I grew up watching the cartoons so I never read Mirage, Image and the Archie series. I know the turtles have been injured in the cartoons but they arn't graphic and shocking.

I knew Donnie was going to be injured but I never expected it to be that graphic, bloody and his shell smashed. I thought It be near the scale as Leo's beatdown in the cartoon's

One thing I've noticed in the IDW continuity is how each of the Turtles has been "lost" to the rest of the family at some point, and all for very different reasons. Raph at the very start of their new lives, Leo during City Fall, and now Donnie.

That leaves only one brother left.

And the only reason for said losses that so far hasn't taken place is one of the Turtles walking out on the family of their own accord. I think there's a pattern there... Possibly some foreshadowing as well, but who knows. Mikey's time in the spotlight is long overdue, at any rate.

I want super skeptical Donnie to meet Teng Shen all arms-crossed and squinty-eyed. I can picture him being totally unbelieving of an afterlife while in it. XD

Mikey's time in the spotlight is long overdue, and honestly, Raph's been out of it for quite some time, too. I want some Mikey/Raph focus after this Don/Leo stuff is over.

I want to say... Shredder figures out that they neglected to report about the Mutanimals, if they had then he could have set up a plan to protect the base instead of having it ransacked and ruined, this would of course piss him off big time.

Shredder punishes them for that I'd say.
