Not saying Amell can't get that down, but based on what I've seen of Arrow he seems a bit... bland in that role. Not bad per se, but not terribly distinct or interesting, IMO. Casey should be a violent, borderline-psychotic jackass, at least at first. And I think hitting that note in the right way takes some acting chops.

Could be Amell's chance to show some range, if he can bring that energy. And if the writers and the director get the character right.

Agreed. Hopefully he isn't a generic, tough pretty boy role.

We ALL thought that. And had "Blue Door" happened, they would have cast him.

Even though we were shot to pieces by the end product, we did at least dodge a couple of those bullets...
