I just wish he would have taken down those two flybots before agreeing to work with Baxter. If for no other reason than to show Stockman he's not one to be intimidated.

Seemed a little out of character for him to just cave like that.

Shredder was waking up from being "near death", Stockman clearly had the upper hand.

Now that Donny's soul has been preserved, how do we restore his body?

I'm thinking it's time to find some healing ooze...

Curious to see if that's one of the things Fugitoid went back to Burnow for.

So is Don trapped in Metalhead's body supposed to be a nod to the Image series? Given how blatant IDW is with taking storylines/characters from other series and using them, (original cartoon, 4kids, Mirage and Archie) I wouldn't be surprised.

My question is: if Donnie's soul is inside Metalhead, how is body would be heal properly if his siblings moved him knowing that Donnie has a spinal injury? Why Harold and Honeycutt (aka Chet and the Fugitoid) moved him instead since they were in charge of Donnie's health? I hope when his soul returns to his body, he is able to walk and not be paralyzed.

To be honest, I think the spinal injury might be the least of Donnie's problems, health wise. Plus...we've seen the mutagen heal April's father post-stroke, so chances are good Donnie can be healed the same way...with time.

Seems like more of a homage to classic science fiction. I'd rather focus more on how this has been foreshadowed with Don's interaction with Fugitoid and his skepticism about the soul.

A turtle's spine is fused to it's shell, it doesn't flex or bend. Unless he took a direct hit on his spine it would have been fine to move him.

A year ago Tom made me nervous when he said one piece in the near future would be inspired by Image Comics and I bet the house this is what he was alluding to.

I guess Hun thinks Shredder is dead like Koya and Bludgeon do which is why he left. We do not know yet why Hun leaves the Mutanimals as soon as he groups them completely together. I assume the events of Mutanimals#4 will tell us that answer. Hob and Hun seem to be an odd pair.

I think it's AWESOME how much they've foreshadowing this tragic turn of events without us ever realizing it... Donny's conversations with Fugitoid, Future Don and our Don thus making decisions based on that...

The Hob/Hun thing does baffle me; I'd be worried if this wasn't Tom Waltz and Bobby Curnow.

IN IDW WE TRUST.

Donatello's shell is cracked, he's contacted through the astral plane while he's injured, then ends up in a robot body.

There's no way that ISN'T an homage to the Image run.
