Turned on by the armor?! Without ever seeing the character's face? That's just weird. Like wanting to bone Vader based on the helmet weird....

The concept of a female in armour is sexy.
What's not to understand?

Except that unless she spoke, you couldn't even tell she WAS female. The armor itself gave little indication. So, yeah. Kinda weird, since you never even see what she looks like. She could be Han's age in that thing for all we know. (And no, I'm not in any way talking about the actress playing her. I've seen her. She's pretty, but unless you KNOW who she is, it could be almost ANYONE in there.)

I did not even know Captain Phasma was a woman until I saw her without a helmet in the movie during the premiere showing. It makes little difference if Captain Phasma is a man or a woman, human or alien. She is third in command directly under General Hux who is equal to Kylo Ren. So she has some role, but I would not imagine much of one. I cant name a single human officer under Darth Vader in the Empire.

Same here. When I saw her in the movie, I didn't know she was a female until she actually spoke. My reaction was- "Female officer? Huh. Kinda neat. Reminds me of Admiral Daala." And yet only fans of the novels would know of her. But at least she wore Imperial officer's uniform, so it was obvious she was female. Phasma? not so much. She could've been a female of some alien race, and that would be cool too, but the Empire (and I'm guessing the First Order as well) is notoriously racist/anti-alien in their recruiting and promotion practices. So probably human, but it hardly matters.

Grand Moff Tarkin, Admiral Motti, General Tagge, Moff Jerjerrod, to name a few higher ranking Imperials. Then again, I played the old Decipher Star Wars CCG game, so you got to know a LOT of character names!

I am really into Star Wars....on the surface. The most obscure I know would be Wedge Antillies or General Ackbar. It was just Vader, Palpitine and a bunch of human officers for Vader to force choke and boss around. At least to me anyway.

I think the title of moff is hilarious.
Mof is basically the Dutch version of kraut.
Figured I'd share that with you guys since the Empire (and the First Order) are based on the nazis.

(so you can see a few other Imperial names from the films!)

I'm sorry but I will continue to complain about the movie, it's annoying to see it being praised as the best thing ever when it was a lazy sequel. I'll try not to repeat myself unless being quoted/quoting someone. Kylo Ren being what Anakin should've been? Maybe but why rehash something that was already done. I remember now a gag in the movie about the Death Star 3 and Han Solo calling it a Death Star and people correcting him. That's hilarious especially with how people have been defending the movie "That's not Tatooine, it's Jakku! very different" Whatever. Han Solo's expression after that "correction" is priceless. Kind of funny they put that in to be tongue in cheek but acknowledging it doesn't make up for the fact that it is the third time they rehash it, all it did was cement that it was a bad idea. Average movie at best, doesn't do anything terribly but does nothing new, it's just kind of there. I do think VIII will be great because the small things it tried to set up will have to be explored in the sequel and those are what I'm interested about and the things I was interested about from the trailers, sadly VII didn't deliver.

I know the face, but not the name. I assumed it was similar to the current. In other words Palpitine with two under him equally, Vader and the lead human officer, Tarkin with others under him not Vader. If Vader wants something he can ask it of them. Currently its sith lots with both apprentice and head of m8litary unt directly under him presumed equals and the general has people like captain under him.
