I don't know. That might be her perspective, but I gotta believe that most women would break down the door to get to guys like us, with our extensive toy collections and addictions to '80s cartoons.

...alright, maybe she's onto something.

that's awesome. I don't even have scratch so there's the problem right there. The girlfriend says I can't get one due to him costing hundreds of dollars but maybe the real reason is she is worried other women will try to steal me away.

Of course because of his awesome collection I also assume he lives a James Bond type-existence where he dates a different super model each night so I may not exactly live in reality. Don't mind me.

I've only one to say to that...

Haha!!
Some if that is true, and I do wear a trench coat ground hugging leather variety,
And yeah, there are the supermodels (I collect Hot Toys...think about it).
I can't complain about my James Bond lifestyle !! Haha.

Getting back to my Vodka Martini, shaken of course. (Spoken in my natural Sean Connery accent ).

Can someone explain to me what is this Scratch figure you guys speak of? Also, what's so special about it other than it being some 1987 TMNT figure?

Oh but Scratch isn't like the other figures! Not at all...

This Scratch is a real bad seed, see? You can kinda tell by the prison outfit he wears...

Actually, what happened was that most Scratch figures -much like in the movie Small Soldiers and for reasons unknown- gained consciousness, broke out of their blister packaging and started doing evil stuff. Some stole car radios. Others went as far as breaking into banks.

You'll notice I said 'most'. Some of them never came to life and remained MOC (mint on card). There's not a lot of those so they're pretty rare and therefore extremely pricey.

PS: You'll be happy to know almost all renegade Scratch figures got caught and remain in federal penitentiaries across the globe to this day.

It was unpopular, produced in low numbers, & released during a time of wavering interest in the brand. Thus, it is now worth a lot of money.

Yup. Nobody was interested in it at the time.
Now only wanted because of scarcity. It's not a particularly cool figure in my opinion.

I wouldn't say it was unpopular.
It was by far the hardest figure for me to find maybe besides the Vac-metal warrior chrome dome and rockstwady figures.
I know many others that had a super hard time finding these toys in stores.

Rare figure hey? And why is it that low in production? Is it because some idiot from Playmates broke the mold of the figure or something?

Also, I was able to go to Walmart yesterday, when I was looking for a new memory card for my phone, and I saw the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows figures. I wanted to take four figures, but then I realized that I was low in money, so I only bought the memory card and two figures.

The only figures I got were Shredder and Kraang. I was planning on buying Bebop and Rocksteady at first, but I decided that maybe next time I get a little more money. Maybe even buy six figures next time if I save up enough money.

And now I these figures are out, do any of you guys know if they will still be selling the figures for the first film? Is because I never bought any of them when they were out and I haven't seen them recently. So does this means that they won't be selling those anymore?

TMNT 3:Radical Rescue made me really want Scratch but I was just a 10 year old kid when he came out. I never went shopping with my parents a lot of the time. Who can say if I would have ever had the chance to get him. Living in the city now and checking shelves for my kids often they won't have that issue of missing out on a figure but the figures today aren't as cool as the ones of my childhood.

Back to the present... I wanted to say future, but !
2016 figures.
I recently got a half dozen of the "features" Turtles.
The first pair are the eye poppin and tongue stickin Leo and Mikey.

They had about a minutes worth of fun in them when I opened them (well one) in class. Mikey got a bit of a laugh.
Leo's eye poppin is not very noticeable, and frankly not as good as Wyrm (now he is a cool figure).
I used this earlier, but here's Mikey..

And Leo in close up..

It's hard to find anything that compares to OT Wyrm

I'd kill for a Nick Wyrm of the same quality.

Wyrm is definitely my most wanted figure for a future wave, I hope they make him.

I can't wait to see you get all the stuff Playmates has recently previewed, DVD, the stackable pieces, mini-figures, etc.

I like Wyrm a lot. It would be pretty cool if playmates prepared one from the new show. Although, can't see em improving on the original. The version in the show really did pay homage to the original figure.

And I am pretty sure I'll pick up the stackers as those are cool.

So I know there's a Donnie in the 'features' line, but there's no Raph
Is he the lowest selling turtle now, or is he too badass for a silly feature
Well then again they are making a version where you shake him and he laughs and farts...

I haven't seen a Don in the features.
They are doing pairs of Turtles.
In the one above you get Mikey and Leo then there's the color changing Shadow Nunjas. Same pairing. And you have the OT styled spittin Turtles- this time Raph and Mikey.
I'm not aware of any others at this time .
