No doubt. We had some local C-3's (same or similar type military cargo planes as the movie) come into contact (while on the ground) with a small tornado a bunch of years ago. A little damage, but nothing major.

Though I question if windshield glass should survive Raph.

i still dont understand why the actors playing the actual Turtles are never brought along for the press tour.

they make such a big deal about using advance facial scanning that gets blended into the turtles faces, and choosing the right actor but the four were only formally interviewed AFTER the first film released, and they aren't there for the very first screening of the reboot/sequel?

i cant really explain why, but it bugs the crap out of me.

The tank weighs over 60 tones, that's probably why it brings down the plane when Rocksteady and Bebop use the tank and it's gun to blow it up.

But I wonder how this movie's going to do critically. Let's start the betting pool, shall we? We know it's not going to get over 50% on Rotten Tomatoes, and I'm just going on a hunch here saying that it'll be slightly better than the first (it's hard to make something worse than the first.)... my bet's gonna be 30-35%.

I feel like I can guess what TrickOrTreater's bet would be; "F*cking 0%". Oh, in a perfect world.

Me too.

This film is supposed to star the Turtles, darn it, and through them their actors. I want to hear from them - the guys who have twice spent months mentally being the Turtles - not their sidekicks. I mean, sure, put them on the job of promoting and junk, too, but the focus should be on the foursome.



That said, I didn't realize this NY screening was happening this soon. o.O People better be good about not giving out spoilers. I really don't want to have to avoid movie news altogether.

Thing is right we haven't seen the movie yet so we don't know the full info of the plane, the turtles will probably talk about about the plane during the movie. The plane obviously belongs to shredder and could be made out of alien metal and very strong glass.

If i'm the first person here to go see the movie on May 30th, I'll probably be one to answer people's questions but obviously under spoilers.

I think that's more or less accurate to what it'll be. I think that fact that it's going for overly stupid means more people will give it a pass because the mindset will be "well stupid is what they are going for" and the belief that it has the Fred Wolf characters will be what fans want.

That being said anyone who believes this movie will be significantly better received critically or commercially is living in a fool's paradise.

You guys are all thinking of ships,military planes aren't that much better than normal one's. All they can do more is travel faster and carry more crap. A few bullets will still bring them down. Or in the case of this movie Raph is literally killing everyone.

i think this movie will be better received by simple virtue of the fact that its predecessor set the bar low.

it had its moments, but even as a fan, i agree it was a bad movie; so the comparison alone will make this reboot/sequel look a ton better.

This one also has more things going for it in terms of nostalgia. I don't care how bad the dialogue is in this movie, you know for a fact one critic is gonna say how great Bebop and Rocksteady are.
