Last time I had an excuse not to. I fully admitted I was one of those people that would have been first in line and then rant about it afterwards but since I wasn't going to wait months for it be released in the UK so felt justified to watch it online. I did eventually see it in a cinema but that's because some of my friends were curious and one person treated all

This time I have no excuse not to pay...but I'm actually reaching a point I just don't want to. No one I know is either aware or cares enough about the sequel to go with me and I find a lot of what I'm seeing disheartening. I actually think this will be way worse than the 2014 movie that I may actually sit it out completely.

I don't know about that. Ritchson's delivery is really condescending, he's almost laughing. Which would make sense in a world were the turtles super strong and bulletproof the biggest of the turtles probably would look down on Casey's street level attempts at vigilantism but that's not Casey and Raph. Also why are they still referring to Shredder as a "robot samurai" when they got rid of all his tech.

im actually glad to see that for all the 'out of the shadows' talk, the finale is actually taking place away (well out of direct sight-line) from the general populace. I am okay with the Turtles revealing themselves to a handful of ppl for the sake of gaining allies, but full-on to the public, I was never cool with. That could still happen in this movie I suppose, but with the finale happening in the sky away from much of population, there is still an air of mystery around their existence.

So like... three weeks away from release and the CGI characters still look like video game characters plugged into live-action footage.

I mean, I know I'm a frequent imbiber of the BayTurtles haterade. But the overall style of these movies is just so unappealing to me. I just find the directing style, the designs, and a lot of the lighting/filtering super obnoxious. A lot of weird, unnatural angles and swoops and whatnot, which are almost always telltale signs of using "flashy" imagery to distract from a lack of visual storytelling skill.

I get that that's somewhat subjective? But especially after watching That Big Fight Scene in Civil War, the directing/choreography/stylistic shortcomings here stick out badly.

It looks like the TMNT 2 thing during Arrow, is just Stephen Amell and Megan Fox asking each other TMNT rated questions, they didn't show any new clip.

I don't understand why Shredder is CG here. His shots look like screenshots from Big Hero 6 or Wreck It Ralph. It makes sense to use CG for the Turtles, Splinter, Bebop, Rocksteady, and Krang/Kraang, but not for the Shredder, especially when all of his tech has been removed. It's not like his suit here is as complex as Iron Man's suit. And, even then, Iron Man's costume has good CG work behind it. The Shredder's screenshots look like last gen video game graphics.
