Both 16-bit versions of Tournament Fighter (SNES, Genesis) had the best graphics.

Sega's graphics were always one-step ahead of Nintendo.

No Sega's graphics are rarely as good as Nintendo's.
The Hyperstone Heist looked similar but the SNES Turtles in Time was a lot better. Genesis had clever ways of making up for technology issues. They did very good shading and designs but the SNES was always superior (not suprising, it came afterwords). Besides graphics the sound was MUCH better. Anyway, I think TMNT: Tournament Fighters on the SNES had the best graphics, followed by Tournament Fighters for the Genesis and Turtles in Time on the SNES (it's graphics are awesome but don't have a lot of depth like the Tournament Fighters).

Hypersyone heis definetly didn't play as well as turtles in time. The animations had much lower framerate, and it didn't look nearly as good. Can't say for Tournament fighters tough, never played it on Genesis.

Turtles in time, probably
But the original arcade game was the best for its time!

While it doesn' have the best graphics, it sure does have the best gameplay of all TMNT arcade style games. Turtles in time was just way too easy.

I just played both Turtles in Time and Hyperstone Heist and I find that (maybe it was just the different tv's) I like Hyperstone's graphics as far as backrounds go, but definitly Turtles in time had better animations and felt better to play (although I like the genesis controller more). I vaguely remember playing Tournament fighters, but I'll agree that it had the best graphics overall.

I would say that the last two games for both SNES and Sega had the best graphics.

I'm aware of the superiority possessed by the SNES/Genesis, but as far as the NES goes TMNT3 looked awesome.
Probably the most graphically beautiful NES I've ever played (probably becuase it was made right before the NES stopped producing titles). Super Shredder and Toka just look badass. |

I think Tournament Fighters had the best graphics for SNES, and TMNT 3 had the best graphics for NES, however, the first one was by far the best for the time that it was made (even though it was impossible to beat the game without loading it with cheats...)

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1989 Konami
It had the most detailed graphics of all the games, and also had the most "realistic" graphics, if you understand what i mean by realistic. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : Turtles In Time 1991 Konami The graphics were not as detailed, they were more cartoony, what made that game good was that it had lots of animation. What lacked in detail, it made up in animation, same goes for the first game. |
