Technical problems with the game?

I ran into a bug today that really ticks me off. My brother and I had just completed Stage 4 on our third try. First the mystic ninjas were kickin' our butts and then the Foot Gunner was kickin' our butts. Finally, we had a plan of attack and took it to 'em. We managed to kick the Foot Gunner's arse only to have the game lock up on a black screen after the stage ended, but before I could save. We're gonna have to play the whole stage AGAIN.

We also found that the game consistently slowed way down after we beat the Water Mystic Ninja. The game would tell us to go, so we would run to the exit. We would be running in slow mo practically and it would not let us out the door for a few seconds. This happened the two or three times we beat him. We were playing as Raph and Don on the PS2.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues? I know all games have bugs, I just hope they weren't in too big of a rush to get this out that it has too many bugs.

Tha sounds like your PS2 has trouble readinsg discs. I had similar problems with many games, untill I had it repaired. It's common, especially with older models of PS2.

I've never had the screen just turn black, but when I beat the Water Mystic Ninja it always slows down for me too. It's definitely a problem with the game and not your PS2.

most of the ps2 reading problems are in US, and most of the reading problems for gc are in Latin America and Europe. At least thats what my brother tells me

Yes, the slow down problems might be due the fact PS2 has the least horsepower.

It happened to me again after fighting the Foot Gunner. I haven't even had this PS2 long -- only since January. It's got to be the game.

I have a Nintendo GameCube and have never experienced a problem with the game. On a couple of levels (I think the first stage in Nano) it decides to load while I'm about to start fighting the Nano monster 2.1 and it gets all choppy and stutters. Other than that, only minor hitches when it shows the level preview. I let it slide because it's the Ninja Turtles. Must be something with PS2. My friends have always had problems reading their discs on PS2. Probably because they don't take care of their system to perfection I don't know what to tell you, it's not the game. Even as many crappy games get released on the market, no game would have glitches that would have that happen.

There's simple solution to this problem that's worked with my PC games and my friend's PS2 - put your thumbs on the inner ring of the DVD or CD and your forefingers on the outer edge. Then, very gently, bend it slightly.

when i am doing a two-player game, it tends to slow down. My PS2 is a used, repaired, remodeled system. Everything to my system is used.

It is the PS2. They have an inherent flaw. I honestly do not know a single person who has not had problems with their PS2. That's the reason i practically hate the system now. I mean its starts with a few games "can't read disc." Then it goes to where it won't play any dvds. Then it just doesn't want to work at all. Yeah i would have sold mine along time ago had i still owned my regular Playstation. Hopely sony will do something about this flaw when they start making PS3 (years down the road). Cause i swear if this happens when i get a PS3, i will never by another sony product.

The slowdown is the game loading the next area on the fly.

Well, I managed to beat that stage without it flipping out on me again. I'm not sure what the problem was. I took out the disc and wiped it clean to make sure there were no smudges or anything. I also played the stage by myself, just in case the addition of the 2nd player made the game mess up. Whatever I did, I managed to get past that level with no problems. I hope this was just an isolated occurence. I'm enjoying this game too much for it to be screwing up on me, or my PS2 for that matter.

When I'm about to fight Nano Version 2 for the first time the game always seems to freeze up for a moment, then start, then freeze again, and finally conintue playing. It's for loading no doubt but dang it's annoying!
