He's saying that reviews don't always mean much & he makes his own judgement as to whether or not a film is worth seeing.

Plenty to do on a forum besides indulge in opinions, too, such as reporting or keeping up to date on (TMNT) news.

New Interview from the Director

During a conversation with Total Film (via Toonado.com), writer/director Jeff Rowe confirmed Mutant Mayhem features its own take on that in an effort to "make it more logical."


"There were a lot of things that were skated past, and we took a lot of time to make it really operate from a place of character and relatability that, I think, will be shockingly emotional," the filmmaker continued. "The goal early on in our conversations with [co-writer] Seth [Rogen] were: 'We want people to leave the theatre, and be like, 'I can't believe I just cried at a Ninja Turtles movie.'"

I'm a little annoyed that the first sentences in that article are all about the cast and the "heaps of A-Listers" that they seem to be trying to sell it on, rather than on the Turtles and the story. It's definitely one plus I have to to give to the PD movies, they were trying much harder to sell it and the Turtles were a big part of the focus with articles about them, their history, the actors speaking about them and their own relation to their characters, etc.

Somehow "heaps of A-Listers" doesn't impress me at all...

In my reaction to the trailer earlier this month I mentioned that it looks like at some point the Turtles get arrested. Do you think it might happen because they got framed for something the villains did or just because they are mutants?

It could be a combination of both. They get framed and because they're mutants they're automatically believed to be guilty.

I wonder if that squad leader (or whoever is in charge of mutant arrests) will have a role to play.
