One of the biggest challenges will be Magneto as someone who experienced the Holocaust. They'd basically have to weave in some kind of "anti aging element" to the story and that would just deeply convolute things.

The other big challenge is choosing what age to make the X-Men in general. Kids won't cut it and honestly neither do teens. But that real deep split you get in the mid-20's as people start to really come into their own is probably the right landing zone there.

Yeah, Magneto and Xavier and even Wolverine is one thing, but the question of "who should the main X-Men be?" we're talking about a casting call for 20-somethings that we've probably never seen in any big movies. But people don't like that because it's not exciting.

It's not really a thing that exists in reality. Or at least, not for very long and it only ever goes in one direction. Mostly it's "Bye-Sexual," as in, "Goodbye, heterosexuality."

More like, will she? Anna Paquin did it for like 3 seconds and then forgot she was supposed to have it.

I can't even go back and watch those X-Men flicks. And seeing someone's comment about Paquin as Rogue reminded me of all of that.

"The Wolverine" is the only one I can watch now and again, and maybe "Logan" once in a blue moon. I suppose I will buy "Deadpool & Wolverine" at some point. That one was really good.

Interesting we have an all-new X-men cast finally. Also no Wolverine, I imagine they'll wait a few sequels in before they introduce a new Wolverine. Hugh Jackman will probably continue to appear in the Avengers movies for that reason.

I doubt they'll wait quite that long. I don't know that we'll meet him in the first movie but I can imagine some kind of mid end credits bit with a shadowy version of him emerging from Weapon X, with a closeup of his hand shooting out his claws.

I think it's great that they are going with Mr. Sinister - that is authentically the only thing that excites me about the casting announcements.

This article and theory makes sense. I do believe that since Mr. Sinister will be the villain in this movie that the Jean Grey we saw in Spider-Man: Brand New Day might've actually have been her clone Madelyne Pryor. It makes more sense for her to be a villain rather than the REAL Jean Grey.
