I found a good score at the dollar store. One of those 4 movie dvd collections for 8 bucks. It contained Starship Troopers, the 5th Element, Gattaca, and Johnny Mnemonic. I haven't seen any of these movies before so it was fun having a movie marathon.

Dogma 4K special edition. Had been wanting Dogma on Blu-ray for a while. It's been gap in Viewaskewinverse collection for ages. Second hand copies on eBay go for stupid prices.

With Christmas specials and other discounts managed to get it done from $60 to about $33.

I just got the 1979 version of Salem's Lot on dvd and watched it for the first time. It was quite enjoyable. I have quite a large collection of Stephen King movies.

Cobra Kai - The Complete Series
Voltron: Legendary Defender - The Complete Series

My first home video purchases of 2026. My next ones should be in June. Cobra Kai was announced first, but I wanted to wait to get it when I could get it on sale, or with a discount code.

The Voltron: Legendary Defender set is an MOD thing, according to a listing at Deep Discount. Sets covering the first six seasons were released. So I wonder if just the discs for seasons seven and eight are the MOD ones. It's also the first new DVD release I've gotten since 2023. I got three in 2024, but they had already been out for years.

Now, one should be available on Blu-ray, and one should be available on 4K.

I picked up the Arrow Video exclusive TMNT trilogy on 4k.

It came with a bunch of cards and posters and also unique slipcover art.

They're not. That's the one I said should be available on 4K since that's how it was presented on Netflix.

I recently got the Critters movie collection on dvd which contains the 4 Critters movie. I saw the first on on Tubi (I think) and thought it was pretty good, so I decided to take a risk and bought the dvd collection. The reason I took so long to watch a Critters movie is because I saw Ghoulies awhile back and thought it was dog sh1t. So I just kind of assumed any of the Gremlines like movies are probably not worth my time. All 4 movies are fun and worth watching, but the first 2 are the best.

Scream 4 4K steelbook

I don't normally get steelbooks, but this version is the Lionsgate Limited version which has four exclusive special features that the regular version doesn't have. All of my copies of the other Scream movies are in regular casing. So the steelbook among them might look a bit jarring to some.

Kamen Rider Stronger

It made it to my state of New York on Sunday morning, at a USPS facility in a city not too far from mine. That usually means I'll be getting it the next day. Then for some reason or the other, it's brought to a facility in Connecticut. I don't understand why they'd do that when it was already here in New York where it's supposed to be. Anyway, it made it back to the facility in my state yesterday morning, and I probably could have gotten it yesterday. I wasn't in a hurry to get it, but apparently someone done screwed up, and screwed up royally. They really need to get their act together.

Mortal Kombat Kollection
Scream 7

With the Mortal Kombat Kollection, I thought I'd be replacing both of my Blu-ray copies of both movies, but I guess I'll just be holding on to the one for the first movie. It has Mortal Kombat: The Journey Begins as a special feature, which didn't cross over to this new set. I don't really pay a lot of attention to it, but there's just something special about it being on the Blu-ray release, since it never got its own individual DVD release. When it was on VHS, it had something on it called Mortal Kombat: A Journey Behind the Scenes, which is on this new set as a special feature. I wish it could have had this other behind the scenes special which aired on TNT back in 1995 called Behind the Dragon, but it unfortunately does not.

The Mortal Kombat movies also have reversible covers. I'm displaying the classic artwork.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie/The Super Mario Galaxy Movie - 2-Movie Collection

I already have a copy of the SMB movie. I got the set with both movies so I could have more shelf space. I'll be letting go of my individual copy of the SMB movie, although I probably won't get much for it.

This was taking a long time to get to me. It originated from a postal facility in Louisville, KY, and they've apparently been taking a while to process shipments lately. So in the mean time, I rented Galaxy on DVD from the library. I just took what I could get since I didn't want to end up running into spoilers every now and then. Now I finally have my own copy on the best format out there.

Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret

This only came out on DVD and Blu-ray in 2023, and it was available in 4K in digital only. So it's nice to finally have a physical 4K copy. Wal-Mart had their exclusive Blu-ray release with a bonus DVD disc with three exclusive special features, and they're all included in this release. So I can replace it with this 4K. The Wal-Mart exclusive Blu-ray also had unique cover art, but I actually prefer the standard cover art.
