New Mutatin' TMNT Variation (Updated info july 5th)

*Update July 5th*
found all of them today at walmart her ein texas...even shredder and the foot soldier the new boxes are so much better...but sad to say once again even though the weapons are placed in a differnt place in the box they are not holding them like the turtles are.
-VM
shesh I was just at target tonight...and they got some more mutatin' tmnt in they didn't have shredder or the foot soldier though so I'm not sure if they wer elike this...
but they have them all holding there weapons now like they did to the normal figures...shesh always something why don't they just start having all the figures holding there weapons from now on so we don't have 4543434 variations..lol
btw ther ein the packedges with the sticker on the blister showing them change.
just thought I'd let everyone know
-VM
Edit: just found a picture on ebay...actully now that I see that photo the box's are differnt as well.

Whatever.

People should realize it's not the package but the product that matters. Honestly, would you listen to someone who boasted that they have two versions of the same figure just because the packaging looked different? It's a waste of money, if you ask me.

While I dont do it myself, i can see why some people like to collect them. I mean, we all have all prefrences: some collect only 1 of each MOC, others 2 so they have one to display, one to keep on card, some only 1-2 just to open up and display...i think its kinda cool that there are so many different types of collectors out there....adds variety and keeps things fresh...so basically, its whatever floats your boat...

Oh, of course.

I myself have run the thought of getting two of each figure, one to display MOC and the other to display on a shelf. Never had the nerve to give in, though.

But I still think it's ridiculous to buy a fig one time and then buy it again just because it has a sticker on the box this time or the fig is posing differently.

Glad I haven't gotten the whole Mutation's set yet. I was waiting for playmates to release a new design. I definitly like this one the best, so I'll be getting this variation instead of the rest. Thanks for the heads up and the photo!

Those people happen to be collectors, and you should be happy: they give Playmates quite a bit of extra money so they can produce more toys.

He's right.

These dudes are the bread and butter for Playmates. And that's so I can buy the figures I want and not all the crap sports turtles, and ****. If people didnt buy the variations Playmates would be like "****it, cancel the Usagi toy, and the new Casey toy, and all the other cool ****. Eff it, we can make Yu-Gi-Oh toys and Poke' Mon style turtles."

Actually, those people are called MAD collectors. And I think you're ignoring the fact that I don't have a problem with it. It's a waste of the consumer's money, but indeed a tremendous financial advantage for Playmates. It's an obvious observation. I'm not stupid, you know.

I'll ask you nicely to please stop bashing collectors of any kind especially in my threads thank you krow..because honestly your starting to erk me
It's not even a box change it is a figure change the first time it came out it wasn't holding it's weapons and now it is..
you are running around posting in just about every damn thread I've seen I just ignore that....you run around telling peple what to do and chill out...
that's not cool and now your being ignorant and talking crap on other people..when I was just trying to post some information for thos eof us that do go out and collect everything I have forever even with the old line.
so please go take a dose of your own medicine and chill out and stop the damn bashing....and by the way I'm not a mad collector I just happen to like knowing of all the differnt changes the toy has gone through over the years because infact these are re-releases off the first figure that was released and they do change the date on the box allot..and to me that make sit new...even if I don't buy them I keep an archive of photos I've taken of all of the versions of the box's and figures.
god just please stop being so ignorant you really ticked me off tonight and I'm trying to be as nice as i can without flipping out.
but thanks for putting me in a bad mood...I think I'm gonna go leave for awhile....I see what I get for trying to help.

I agree with Vaughn. It's fine to voice ones opinion but you're way out of hand. You don't have to be so rude.

So this makes it the 4th Mutation's variation. Pretty cool. I think I like the TMNT logo better on the top. I also dig all the colorful stickers Playmates is adding to the figure's bubbles.

thanks tmntgal...I mean he totally made me feal like crap for spending my own hard earnd money on things I want to buy for myself shesh...it's like yea i know I'm a bit obessed with the tmnt...I don't need told about it though lol.
and yea this latest variation is the best I think
I really wish they would just bring out all of the toys holding there weapons in the first place though it just seems they are only doing it with a few figures...and yes I love that they are constantly makng things better...just another sign playmates does care about it's products...now if only we could get them to add the awsome box art back like in the old days...but I don't see that happening because peter laird found it lame that the toys didn't look like the art on the box's which I personally think is dumb ...to me those old box's really stand out and would stand out big time today because of how generic everything is in the toy market.

Who earns "the consumer's money"? The consumer's do.
Who makes the decision on what to buy with "the consumer's money"? The consumers do.

Case closed

NP, you shouldn't feel bad about it. You're entitled to spend your money on whatever you want.

Krow, it would also be nice if you stopped stating your opinions as if they were facts. Learn to respect the other members of this forum.

Back on topic, yes I prefer the figures holding their weapons. It just adds an extra special touch. Did you notice that the very first Mutations had a long green sticker on the bottom of the backer card? They fixed that in the later reissues. I kept a 1st release Foot Soldier and a 3rd Release Leo MOC. The big Mutations logo on top is nice.

You people are really set in your ways.

Apparantly you never read that I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT!!!
HELLO!

Collect what you want, it's your perogative. And I didn't say it was a fact but AN OBSERVATION!!!
HELLO!

Stop dicing my comments to your advantage.

By the way, I never meant to offend you, Vaughn. The term "mad collector" was supposed to be a joke. I apologize.

But anyway, I never mean to be harsh or rude to anybody. Just because my opinion isn't everybody's opinion doesn't mean I should be attacked like this.

Hey Krow, I dont think everybodys problem is that you are stating your opinion; that what all these forums are about. I think its just the way
you are stating your opinion, the words you use, the tone you seem to give, etc...besides, saying things like "you people" is almost always wrong as it generalizes this entire forum as one type. When the whole point of this discussion is to show that there is a wide variety of collectors out there...[/i]

Hmmm. Okay. Thanks for your comments. Perhaps I should use more emoticons in my replies so people will know whether I'm being serious or not.

I'll try to word myself better.

Thanks again,
terminator.
