Why did Donatello have a diffirent voice in some episodes?

Can any one tell me why Donatello had a diffirent voice in certain episodes then his original voice would be back in the very next episode.

From the original series?

Don't know...except that sometimes they color/voice matching would get mixed up so for example you'd hear Raph's voice coming out of Donny. But if it was a completely different person, I don't know...maybe the guy was sick/busy/etc...

Perhaps the actor was sick or injured and couldn't attend the voice over session? So they had to find someone to immitate him.

Often times voice actors injure their vocal cords due to constain yelling or performing a very scratchy voice. I was just reading an interview with Maurice LaMarche (the Brain), he said that whenever he would voice for Dizzy Devil on Tiny Toons (I belive) he requested to do the lines on a friday so he'd have the weekend to recover due to the intensity of the voice.

So it happens.

Raph had different voices as well I figured it was because the orgnial voice actor quit or something because I dont really remember the order the old episodes were in

Well, for some of them... it was just an alternative voice. Yeah, for just when the regualr voice actor couldn't record for some reason.

I know there are other reasons, but I'm not sure. So anyone else know??

Alternative voice actors were needed for whatever reason. In 1989 it made perfect sense considering it had like 47 episodes.
