One thing that may work, is go to every store that has a display case, and ask them if you could give them your name and number, and if they could call you if they are renovating or whatever, and are going to get rid of it.

At the store I work at here in Canada, we threw away a knife display case that could have been the perfect card holder, if it didn't weigh 50 pounds, lol. The store was moving stuff around, and they didn't need the case, so I got the pleasure of destroying it.

The people will think that you are a weirdo for asking, but hey, it doesn't hurt to try

It sounds as though you want the clear plastic clamshell type cases to protect individual figures and allow them to be mounted on the wall etc... If so, a google search for "protective cases action figures" turned up several options but most are listed as being for specific lines (Star trek, Simpsons, Star Wars etc...) You may be able to compare packaging sizes to find a compatible line though.

If you are looking for furniture type cases, ie glass front cabinets, bookcases and the like, there are several options. First, shop around locally, especially after the holiday season many stores many have great sale deals. Second, see if there is an Ikea store near you. I am not so fortunate, but I know many collectors have found reasonably priced and attractive (in case you have a S.O. to appease regarding any interior decor decisions) One final option to look at would be store fixtures as SlayerX already suggested. Again, now is a great time to ask stores as many are resetting displays following the holidays. Be aware, that while some fixtures they may just give you, any of the nicer ones will still cost you since the stores can sell them to companies specializing in fixture resale. Also, try to find out if their are companies in you area that resell fixtures, often as a part of a used office supply business. This too can be a great way to get nice glass display cases for reasonable prices.

Depends, old school figs or new ones? I think you can use the simpsons plastic cases (specifically for Playmates Simpsons MOC) sold on line (forgot website) for old school turtles but I don't know of anything for the new ones. Try wholesalecases.com for the playmates cases. Tip-I wouldn't hang MOC items. I've had some figures bubbles start to come loose due to the stress and weight of the bubble on the card. I stack them one ontop another.

There is a company up here that has these plastic ninja turtle covers! They are heavy plastic and cost about $2-$3 each. The $2 are just a glare proof plastic and the $3.50 are UV protective I believe. The old figures fit perfectly into them and they can be hung up. I pick mine up from a local comic book store. They are nice because they come in slightly different sizes and a certain form is made for the old Ninja turtle lines. This protects my old figures from light damage, dry air, and dust in general. I am not sure what the company is, but I can find out if you want to know!
