(Dun worry, Randi will open up... sooner or later. She's one of those who keeps most away emotionanlly for fear of being harmed...)
"I'll pretend that's a compliment." Randi replied quickly to Raph. "Coming from," Mike joked, "that is a compliment." Randi merely took another sip of her coke in response. |

Leonardo set his soda can down on the table. "Randi, I think it's about time you told us more about these mutants who are chasing you. It would help to know what we're dealing with in case we run into them."

Randi frowned for a moment, she would have liked it better if they would stay out of it, but she doubted that this Leonardo would like that.
"I'll tell you what you need to know: They work in a military style. There are between 15 to 20 mutant soldiers working under a single comander, a Rat named Colonel Marx." She explained, still watching the roach from the corner of her eye, "Each shoulder carries at least one baretta 9 mm gun and have their own Psyonic Ability." She clicked her tounge as she thought of what to add. "These abilities can range from the manipulation of energy to controlling an element of some kind like fire, water, or even electricity to Psychic powers like my own--but as far as I know, none of the soldiers stationed here have psychic abilites." "Wait... first some demon possesses Oni, then, this new chic--..." "If you want to live another year I suggest you don't call me 'chic'." "... sorry... and now Randi here is being chased by mutants who can... manipulate enery, control elemental forces and read minds?" "Thats basically it, yeah." "Why are they after you?" Randi smirked, still watching the roach with the corner of her eye. "They think I'm an insane, Criminal mastermind."

Leo sighed. This was going to be a lot harder than he thought. The guns were bad enough, and they could probably deal with them, but if these soldiers had psyonic abilities...
"Damn," he muttered under his breath. At least they had the early warning system to alert them to any intruders. Besides, they'd dealt with a lot over the years, and they'd deal with this too. |

At least Leonardo hadn't note the reason why the soldiers and Colonel Marx were after after her. "I've lost them before." Randi said, "It was only because I wasn't paying attention that they found me again..." She glanced over to Raphael. "And no, I'm not from DC like you first said, its the other way around, I'm heading to D.C."

Nodding Randi's occasional looks to the floor while she spoke, Raph pulled a sai and slung it in that direction.
"So... you go AWOL on them then?" he asked, while picking up his sai with the roach stuck on the longest point, it's legs twitching spasmically. |

Randi jumped slightly as he slung the sai only to close her eyes and shudder as he took it back again. "More or less..."
"More or less?" Mike said, "How can you go 'More or less' AWOL?" "'Treason', 'Assult', 'breaking an entering'... 'Steeling confidential informaion'." Randi replied, looking at Mike, "Take your pick..." Mike shook his head, Randi' reply didn't really make sense to him. Why list a bunch of crimes when he had asked... Wait, he got it, these were the reasons why she left and why she said this group of mutant soldiers thought of her as a 'insane, criminal mastermind'! This only made him not like the situation even less. [ This Message was edited by: BlitzTurtle on 2002-01-18 15:22 ] |

Leonardo crossed his arms. "I'm going to assume you had good reasons and intentions behind those crimes. So what were they?"
Great, just great, they'd taken in a wanted criminal. The fact she carried guns made him suspicious of her; he never trusted guns, or the people who carried them. And her attitude was quickly getting to him, but he told himself that he was doing the right thing and hoped it wouldn't blow up in their faces. |

Randi smiled at Leo, amused that he suggested that she had a good reason for what he did. "I used to work under Colonel Marx." She answered. "After a while... I started getting clues... Colonel Marx would start talking to officers that on normal occasions, he would have nothing to do with. I didn't like the clues I was getting, the pointed to something... catastrophic. So I..." She frowned, "Broke into his office and looked through his files... I found... information that was even worse than I expected. Colonel Marx walked in on me and I erased his memory of my being there; however, it was only temporary and only gave me enough time to... escape... When Colonel Marx did regain his memory, he blew everything out of perportions to hide anything that I found..."

"And what exactly did you find out?" Leo asked.

"That if Colonel Marx has his way... nearly half the population of the United States will be like us... mutnats."
"Wait..." Mike shook his head, completely confused, "How is the dude going to accomplish this?" "How much do ya'll know about World War Two and Victory in Japan?" Randi replied. "That... we won?" Mike shrugged, "why?" "We bombed Japan with two particular bombs--the uranium and plutonium atom bombs--Fat Man and Little Boy." "...So?" Mike asked, still not getting what she said. "The split uranium and Plutonium atoms to get those bombs... to mutate me, and other mutants they use a prossess called Muta-Fusion: Its basically the destruction of human dna and fusing what remains with particular animal genetis..." She sighed, "The same people who discovered the Muta-Fusion process have found a way to... create a bomb that, when detinated, will act as a massive mutation for whom ever is with in radious of its sonic wave." |

"This is most serious," Splinter said. "How do you intend to stop this Colonel Marx?"
Leonardo just stood there in shock. That wasn't possible, was it? Half the US, millions of people, mutated. |

"I didn't plan to stop him directly, sir." Randi replied to Splinter. "I planned to be more or less an informant... a messanger... I plan to tell those who can put the whole thing to a stop for good. you see, sir, even if I were able to stop Colonel Marx and the soldiers he has brought along, there are others who could take his place in leading this under ground rebellion..." She sighed and shook her head. "This is what happens... a conspircay with in a conspiracy... WITH IN a conspiracy... **** hits the fan and every one is hit."
Mike stared at Randi as if she was some alien who had just stepped off some huge space ship armed with guns and other weapons aimed at every one only to say, 'we come in peace.' "A bomb? That mutates? Conspiracy with in a conspircay?" He broke out of his trance and shook his head, "Are you sure about this? I mean, c'mon! Is it even possible? and this conspiracy with in a conspiracy stuff, how can you have so many conspircies in conspiracies?" "Would you like me to explain the conspiracies?" Randi asked with forced calmness, "Why not? 've told you everything else." "Go ahead... this I want to hear." "The first conspiracy I've already mentioned. Colonel Marx and his followers and thier plan... they are all members of another Conspiracy which I am a member of as well: The Mutant Militia. The Mutant Militia was created by a covort group called the Amos Project who also helped fund different businesses--most of which now have folded or who's owners have... just dissapeared." "Like what businesses?" Mike asked. "If I had known this was an interrigation..." She trailed off, "I only know a few business names... I don't know what the businesses did." "Then names then." Mike quickly replied, maybe if they knew everything about these 'conspiracies' there could be a way to defeat this Marx guy. "The Rhine," Randi replied with a slight growl but quickly calmed down, "A.R.I. --don't aske me what it means, I don't know-- T.C.R.I, Grendel Industries, The F.9... thats all I can think of off hand." (Note, I said that the Amos Project helped FUND these companies.) |

Raph flicked the cockroach into a trashcan then sat back down. It was funny how Mike had a way with making women talk, he mused.
"Waitaminute... T.C.R.I.?" the the acronym sounded all too familar to him. "The cops busted that joint years ago, when a strange beam -- one that sent US into deep space for a short honeymoon with some savage Tricerton beasties -- blasted from the roof. All I care to say, that company wasn't your typical goverment organization..." |

"Then maybe we can find out," Leo said. "Do you know how much time we have before these people try to set off the bomb?" he asked Randi.
