Nice dye job there, matey. What color is your hair naturally? I've been tempted to dye mine obscenely bright colours, but my hair's naturally black. The upkeep to avoid rootage would be enough to drive me batty.

Ooh... nifty color!! I'd be way too shy to dye my hair that color... (Though I DID have purpleish streaks when my hair was dyed dark, years ago.)

*pouts* How come guys have such nice hair? It lays all nice when it's wet... then when it dries. Ugh. It's unfair.

I bleached my hair and then dyed it blue. Problem is blue doesn't stay very well so after a few days it sort of washes down and becomes a very odd-looking (some might say cool-looking) shade of green (turquoise-like maybe?)

I always liked the idea of trying red but I fear that would wash down to pink. Don't mean to worry you or anything

Oooh, fun.

What brand and color did you use? I usually used hot topics sepcial effects brand... i got the best color outta those.

it doesn't look like you use toner... if you use that after bleaching it takes the yellow out and makes your hair olmost white, so the color gets brighter and lasts a bit longer.

And you look like Kurt Cobain when he went red...

Thank you guys ^_^
Wow I kinda do have the same hair as Kurt
My hair turns pink sometimes after dyeing but that was only when I used the Hot Topic stuff. Here is what it normally ends up looking like after just 2 weeks

That picture is soooo old but you get the point
I used L'oreal dye. It worked good for some reason I was surprised! It washes out nice to like shampoo. To top it all off it made my hair more red then it has ever been. I hope it doesnt wash out

Well I think it turned out good but yeah red hair is a little bit tricky cause it washes out fast specially if you use the brands at the drugstore and that kind of thing , try not to use conditioner after you dye it for about 3 days , that will help the color stay in longer, and be careful with the bleaching cause it can damage your hair badly plus sometimes with certain reds you dont even need to bleach you hair to get the color right , bleaching is mostly needed if you want to go real blond.

RED is such a hard color to get to stay. You might want to try and find a cosmotolagy student who has access to buying professional hair die at less expensive prices.

My personal hair stylist is one of my good friends. I personally don't go red, but she does. (Although she is a natural red head). She's been known to have bright orange streaks with blood red hair.

She uses redkin sp? and paul mitchel products that she gets from a supply store.

just a thought. I'm not sure about the bleaching. you'll have to ask about that tho.
